OK, Sgt Mitty calm down. You still utterly fail to understand a very simple point: No one cares about whatever fatigue shirt you are wearing. The Eagle Globe and Anchor is a very significant uniform symbol and the right to wear it is earned and not bought. It is disrespectful of you to wear something you haven’t earned, but you are in a safe little corner of Europe where you will probably never meet a Marine and feel some consequences. The fact that you are willing to die on this hill of tone deafness is hilarious.
The Marines Corps is a war fighting organization and our colors fly the emblem of the Eagle, Globe and Anchor.

There's no ''right to wear'' when it comes to the History Preservation ethos and liking well-constructed, super-long lasting utility wear and military heritage gear as part of a personal style. It was all the rage back in 2014/15 and probably getting another wave if the present range M65's by Ralph Lauren is anything to go by. If you're playing macho soldiers, or trying to pass yourself as a highly decorated soldier, then that's something else entirely. But if I'm going to wear something military inspired, then like our Japanese chums, I want it as authentic as I can get it.
And Toyo Enterprises, through Buzz Rickson and other lines, deliver that for me. Also as they're consultants and suppliers to many historic WWII films, I know they're respected and authentic. You might want to boycott some of those films as their pushing the gear, I've only bought it.
By your mindset, there should be no heritage wear, unless you've ''earned it''. No workwear unless you're
engaged in that profession.
No market for leather flight jackets in the WWII style unless you were rear gunner on the Schweinfurt raid in Commanding Officer, James M. Stewart, of the 703d Bomb Squadron. Which I know you dig for starters.
We can all play games of feigned sleights and disrespect, but Buzz Rickson's, Eastman Leather both owned by Toyo Enterprises, along with Sugar Cane workwear and others isn't one of them. They have more respect for military heritage and vintage military specified pieces than the likes of the American Alpha Industries does by far. If they were cheap and nasty, they wouldn't go to the levels and authentic reproduction as they do.
So when you gratuitously wallow in the thought of US Marine Corps squaddies beating up on a 50 year old, then I wager your the one with the problem, not me. Would they do that to the Japanese owners and customers of Buzz Rickson's? After the fire bombing of the Japanese cities, two atomic bombs, they should be very happy that there is such an healthy interest in American heritage military and workwear. Including the Pacific Theatre.
I don’t know (and don’t care) but possibly they wore it precisely to disrespect them?
Elements of that for sure, no one likes soldiers who earned their medals at My Lai do they?
I love how in your mind it's pretty much the same whether it's people like David Bowie, John Lennon, Bryan Ferry wearing these, or you.
I'm sure you can appreciate the difference, hopefully?
You do love me, we know that on account of all the attention you give me.
