I can't quite make out the colour of those jeans but I do think that there's a very specific light blue wash that country and rugby types tend to wear fairly often. The dad will have it in a loose fit with tan brogues, the son in a very slim pair and darker boots.
Too f’ing real. . .Both pairs were likely purchased by the Mum from Markies' 'Blue Harbour' line. The son will also be wearing a half-zip fleece.
you ask for a Brit's opinion, you got one. do what you want. But I'd imagine the legit “lo stile anglese” would be those viyella country check style shirts (add a jumper and country tie too).
Is that manica camiccia or manica cadente? What is the cloth? HFW Classic II? We want details.
Manica a mappina
Something i would not do on suits any more.
The fabric is a flannel from the old hfw english flannels book.
Obviously for ever exhausted.
How come? Aren't most of your suits done that way?Manica a mappina

Manica a camicia and manica a mappina are one and the same. 'A mappina' is the technique used to create the a camicia wotsit. 'Mappina' being, in the Neapolitan dialect, a rag. The sleeve is wider than the armhole, so it looks like a hanging rag.
There.
Otherwise, it doesn't suit you at all. You need some padding. Actually I don't think unpadded shoulders look good on office suits. For a sport jacket, worn in a casual environment, maybe. For an office suit in a dark fabric, it just looks off to me.
Manica a mappina and manica a camicia refer to different things, so they are not the same. Manica a camicia refers to the way the seam allowances are pressed towards the body while manica a mappina is just the result of extra ease in the sleevehead without much or any wadding. You could have one, the other, both or none.
That's true - and humble - suit science.

Well I suppose you could have a manica a camicia where the sleevehead matches the armhole, so I'll grant you the two are not the same. That would be camicia without mappina. But realistically, could you have mappina without camicia? Or have British tailors been doing it all the while?
Now I'm confused, and it's past lunchtime.
Barbours with giacche are very eyetalianindustrialist but I'd wear a woollen tie. Not printed silk, not jacquard, not knitted silk.

Eyetaliandustralists wear down jackets with their giacche, not Barbours. Molto Milano. Molto sprezz. Sleeveless for Hypersprezz.
Of course you need the permatan or ski tan, and haircut to go with it.
Tweedy? Tweed-y? Are you telling me that you couldn't tell with absolute certainty whether the tissu was properly woven in the British Isles or that you couldn't immediately sense the count of the many years by the TOUCH of that gentle, yet extended, tap on his SHOULDERS?At the tram stop in city I was pleased to see this checked tweedy jacket.
He stole that barbour off sirloin when sirloin was drunk one night - but I'm not allowed to tell anyoneDo you have something else in your wardrobe than this perpetual combination of Barbour, tweed jacket, challis tie, challis tie, tweed jacket and Barbour? It becomes boring... By the way never wear a Tartan scarf with a Barbour in Scotland or we'll find your corpse floating in a loch.
