What TV Shows Are You Watching?

Fargo season 3. Fantastic. Best villain I've seen in a long time, and very topical as well in relation to Trump. A++
 
Twin Peaks season 3 episode 8. My first trip into a nuclear explosion. Mad. Insane. Brilliant. You'll never see that elsewhere. A+++.
 
Am I the only one who hasn't seen Game of Thrones and doesn't give a toss whether it's starting tonight?

I've been hearing it on the radio and reading about it in the papers for weeks.

What about the new Doctor Who being a woman? I don't think it's bad, my daughter is a big fan, but as long as they don't use it to over-educate us on trans issues. The recent lesbian-lizard storylines are seriously twisted though at the spiritual level. So anything is possible with he Beeb.

A one off female Jane Bond would be okay too. No problems with that.

i'm more worried about her not being that great of an actress. i enjoyed skipping over every scene she was in during the Broadchurch episodes.

I watched it, but honestly didn't give a fuck. Until the next book comes out I am pretty ambivalent.

Snowfall on FX has be badass so far. I was waiting patiently for it to come out and I haven't been let down. FX is basically the only US television station I will watch anymore, with the Americans and Snowfall now. Always SUnny too, but I never get time to see it.

i really hate that snowfall show. everyone but the israeli's are awful. ESPECIALLY the CIA guy.

rick and morty has been great so far this season. pickle rick is going on the top 10 list for sure.
 
At last started to watch the seventh series of Mad Men, very clear they'd run out of ideas. And that talentless actress playing Draper's new wife, truly wooden acting at it's most unreal. The 70s might have had more potential: all coke, big glasses and Towering Inferno movie disaster stuff.

Does look good. Actually couldn't finish that series. I'm pretty far from politically correct, but Stephen King has this cringe-inducing way of portraying black characters that is just really bad. He's clearly never been friends with any black people or spent any meaningful time with them outside a couple of tokens when he was teaching at the University of Maine. The young black kid that in the trailer says something like "this guy is really trying to mess with you"? In the book he has a heart of gold and is going to Harvard but messes with the old white protagonist by speaking in "jive". Yes, the supposedly 18 year old black kid repeatedly says the word "jive" and talks in an Ofay accent. You have to read this really bad dialogue for pages. It's awful.

But that trailer looks great.

Wonderful news! American Horror Story should start around then as well.

I've been trying to watch the defenders but just can't get into it. It's weird because I liked Luke Cage and Jesssica Jones, and to a lesser extent Daredevil. It might be because the story turned into a campy 80s Kung fu movie, which is weird, because I generally like those kind of movies too. Maybe the combination of the two just doesn't work

Looking forward to the new Narcos series too.

Up to episode 7 of the final series of Mad Man, a slow start, but it gets better. Fairly dark and I like the fashion differences between the generations. It works. They also get the plastic orange like nylon tackiness of the early 70s right, albeit they're still in the late 60s.

yeah it was pretty boring. iron fist just ruins every single scene he's in. if it wasn't for luke cage and jessica jones it would have been a complete disaster.

now that Dark Matter and Wynonna Earp are done there's no good sci-fi/fantasy left to watch other than Killjoys.

at least Narcos starts Friday.
