Yes. It's really the only sci-fi on right now that's any good so I stick with it. There's a lot of bullshit but I'm hoping that we'll start getting somewhere when the season ends. Shoresh is a bad bitch.Anyone watching The Expanse? Want to like it, but it has too many shitty contrived plot points.
Handmaidens Tale

the book's fantastic. no idea how the show will be.I thought the book was proper literature and writing not just typing like so much is these days.

the premier of Brockmire is on the torrents. i cannot recommend this highly enough. hank azaria sounds like a cross between Jon Miller and Vin Scully and seems born for this role. if they can keep this up for a whole season it might be the funniest thing on tv. must watch if you're a baseball fan.

Billions is ridiculous and fun. Watching Damien Lewis and Paul giamatti chewing up scenes is great fun.
That's what makes it watchableBillions is so unrealistic, makes it unwatchable for me.

They were virtue signaling to the jury about their African roots.
The 90s were a historical low point for neckties.
The early 90s were awful on all fronts: neck ties, trouser cut, music and films. Compared to the 80s it was like a return to a 1970s British sitcom set. There was lots of matching tie colour with shirts, that was done also in the 70s, but better then.
Gieves & Hawkes were spot on throughout the decade though, they've deteriorated into some monotone grey boringness for young accountants in a corporate monstrosity now.
I watched this afternoon the two episode documentary Five Came Back on Netflix on the American film directors who went to war in WWII. Brilliant, highly recommended.
So I'm watching American Crime Story about the OJ case. Very good show (A+), but they're all wearing crazy ties. I thought it was just an exaggeration, but it turns out they really did wear those ties back in the days. Was it just an LA showbiz thing, or was this accepted business wear as well? I wasn't around back then so, paging the older gents to answer this very important questiondoghouse

Disagree with you about film...The 90s was excellent on that front...
Music was just one big rehash, a raiding of the past dressed up as 'paying dues'
The monochrome look was big... the Reservoir Dogs look for men...Crapola
Your Hero was prancing around in Tonik Mohair...and looking...abso-fucking-lutlely ravishing...!!!!
My conclusion from this bit is this show could either be great or terrible. No middle ground. The potential is definitely there, it really depends on how much material the writers are good for. Casting is awesome.Let me know what you think of it once you watch
Music was very bipolar. Half was very good, half was awful. It was almost like two different ecosystems at once.
And you assholes sent fucking Oasis over here. We will never forgive.
To paraphrase South Park, "the American government has apologized for Vanilla Ice on several occasions"That was retaliation for Vanilla Ice....
...and Nirvana....;
Everyone outside of the most straight laced bankers or lawyers wore hideous ties like these in the early 90's.
Did you wear those ties? Or were you too young to wear em.
I'm kinda hoping the trend comes back, just to see everyone wearing wacky ties while doing serious bizniz. I predicted the rise of pleats 3 years, so maybe I'll be right about this too.
