What's Making You Happy Today?

Yesterday there was a problem with the trains that meant I collected my wife from a different station than normal and ended up with her car still parked at the other station. We had planned a country walk today, but rather than waste time mucking around collecting her car first, we changed our planned route and walked from our house cross country into town to fetch it, about 9 miles. We had good weather, it was a very pretty route with lots of good views, and we stopped for lunch at a very nice country pub on the way, and ended with a pint of beer at another one when we reached the end. All in all, a very good day.

Oh III, you make me feel inadequately manly, with your knowledge of truck companies, bearded avatar and gruff demeanour.

I was just looking up an address on google maps and this came up -

which made me happy.

Right by a train line too. It's not especially close to an airport, I guess that plane might being held in a stack. I think from time to time they alter where they stack the planes over different areas of London, just to spread the misery.

Volvo's new concept coupe. 400 hp, 443 lb.-ft tq and 30+ mpg.

If they build it, I will come.

In fact, I think I just did.

I bought a nicer bookshelf and a rosewood turntable stand that matches the piano at a garage sale last weekend, and used them to square away the corner where my wife teaches music.

I need a better phone.

Thanks. I'll be taking a new round of pics next week -- with a real camera -- when the table gets delivered.

I like having a big bookshelf over by the piano. It makes it look less like a museum. Of course, the dog bed helps with that, too.

That is fun for some people, to be sure, but not quite my speed. I prefer relations with pretty ladies. (Unfortunately, I could argue for free, but I usually have to pay for the pretty ladies.)
Let me tell you something buddy - we ALL have to pay for the pretty ladies. One way or another. Don't EVER forget that.

Now I am standing up in defense of Pia Zadora and her beauty on another website. I'm sorry, but anyone who denies the beauty of Pia Zadora (I mean back in the day Pia Zadora) is going to hear it from me. Now I'm fired up, even though I should be going to bed soon.
Never heard of her before. She was cute back in the day according to the Googles.

Got the table tonight. Reclaimed barn wood from the Montana Table Company. Finally, a table that does the space justice.

We couldn't decide if we wanted chairs or benches, so we went with a chair for each of us and figure we'll put guests on the benches. The chairs are basically thrones. The table is insanely big. We can fit two placemats on each end and seat 12 adults around it.

We figure, too, both the chairs and the the benches can double as party seating somewhere else in the house. Because, holidays.

I'm reminded of Batman: "Can you pass the salt?"

And then? I thought you were doing some sort of IIFYM program.

Yes, Reverse Dieting via IIFYM. I have my macros and the ones that increase are the carbs. Then when my metabolism is back, I will add some muscle, then cut. Cause I was eating a small amount of calories and could cut more fat.

Are you working off a specific template to figure out what calories and carbs to use?

No, I meant how are you deciding what macros and calorie intake to use? You're not just pulling this shit out of think air I assume?

Oh, ok. I got my macros caculated by a guy on Instagram for cutting, then I reached a very low calorie intake and couldn't drop any fat. From there we increased the carbs. I'm eating around 1g of protein per pound of weight, around 25% of my calorie intake comes from fat and the rest from carbs.

I'd say they're average--not great, not awful. Sometimes they ask me questions that really surprise me, though, because it's clear they don't understand things that I've just assumed every sentient being understands. There are things I'd never imagine I need to actually explain, but it turns out I do.
Such as?
