As I only go to the dentist every 4-5 years, I think they were reasonable to ask, but I've had a quite a few recent ones at the orthodontist. So asked them to share. I'm not worried about brain cancer from dental x-rays, I'm a bit more worried from an early career exposure from x-ray technicians, ''bombers'' as we call them, who take x-rays and gamma ray radiographs of pipe and forgings.

Noticed at work my CV folder had disappeared and put it in my mind to fix. Was looking for my certificates in the home office yesterday and couldn't find any of my academic and vocational qualifications - certainly not where I left them, neatly curated and placed. Looked again today, spoke to the missus and she said because it was messy - as the kids are using it as well - she tidied up the office and moved them, in one of her cleaning frenzies. She thought she knew exactly where she had placed them, but to no avail, she has no idea where they are or binned them. One of my aunt's was a teacher and she said it all went wrong during the Blair years when it became impossible to expel kids and those special needs (not disabled), but potential psycho-killer types, were left in the mainstream schools to run amok and get away with it. You just couldn't expel them.

Even here now, there's been a couple of teachers, in both my kids schools who have had breakdowns trying to control unruly classes and with every card getting played by the kids and some baiting the teachers, like that kid was. It must be dreadful.

This incel thing, I don't actually quite get it, all it seems to me: young males who haven't got enough sexual maturity, status, and earnings to attract the opposite sex. It's called growing-up. Why would anyone label a 13 or 14 year old an incel?

I didn't say hit the kid. I said if the kid doesn't want to obey the rules and norms of how the teacher runs the classroom then they're not fit for that classroom.

I think there is a misconception that everything in life is a democracy. It's not. A school classroom has someone in charge and curriculum to be followed. Just like a workplace is never a democracy. There is a boss and there are workers.
