Your take on dieworkwear, shill or enthusiast?

It's a very silly rumor.

It is. He's earning sub 100k. I'd guess around 65k-75k. Housing in Baltimore is very cheap, so maybe 750 to a grand a month on mortgage. He doesn't seem to take his family on expensive holidays, go out for dinner or put his children through expensive private schools, or drive a fancy car, so there should be some money left for formosas. I think he owns maybe 5-6 suits?

However, I'm pretty sure all of the money not being spent on the necessities is being spent on his clothing, which is a bit sad.

As long as his family is also enjoying the disposable income and he's saving, there isn't anything wrong with having and indulging in such narrow interests at his age.

I believe he's spending his entire bonus on himself.

First I've heard it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was created a dozen or so posts ago.

Stitchy's been basically inactive for the last few months.

Are you his banker?

No, but I have a good memory. There was a discussion in the Noodles thread once about finances. Pretty much said that his bonus was for him. Also said that making 150k would make him super happy, and 100k would make him happy as well. It's also not hard to guess the income of a jeweller store IT guy, or the cost of living for Baltimore suburbs.

Good memory indeed. Funny how your attention level seems to go up a notch or two when it is about finances, while for me there isn't a more boring subject. Well, guess that's why you are the banker and I am not.

Dude, as long as he isn't coming to you or your bank for a personal loan to finance his purchases, do you and stop worrying about someone else's personal finance!

I'm not worried, I merely find it entertaining.

I think DWW is a cool guy. No idea how he come up with the money. Maybe some Tech IPO or buyout lottery money.

As for IS, interesting guy, looking and dressing a lot better than he used to, but I can only tolerate so many ko and instakop comin from dat mang in those threaks.

i honestly dont care where they get their money or how they spend it and wish them all the best financially

what i dont like about sf is the sheepish tendency not to question what both these pseudo experts and pseudo authorities say

also, i didnt like stitchys sf omnipresence and meaningless posts about koping this and kopping that which made him an expert in his own mind

i dont like dww's urge to get involved in almost anything involving menswear, rushing to reach out organizing trunk shows, resolving fiascos and what have you

i dont think either of these guys is cool. quite the contrary. i think hardly anyone on sf is cool though

edit: and i dont like their brown nosing with fok

If you know his legal name, figuring out the exact amount of his taxable earnings may be a matter of a few moments of TOP "desktop research."

More pertinent to this thread, a junior professor - if he is actually one - in the humanities or, for that matter, most fields of social science earns a salary comparable to your local UPS driver. Monkeyface Monkeyface 's ballpark figure for IS's earnings may provide another useful point of comparison. Bonuses are unheard of, and these academics would not have any gainful consulting opportunities either. So unless he is a superstar in one of the more lucrative fields, or, unless he is independently wealthy, he is most certainly a shill. He may not receive anything from Solito, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have some sort of arrangement with the litany of brands he "enthusiastically" recommends on his blog and beyond.

PS: Graduate student stipends are right above poverty level in most academic fields. In San Francisco, he would have a hard time affording groceries after settling his monthly rent - to say nothing of a bespoke commission!

He's been writing a lot on Drake's and NMWA lately. Stuff like check out Drake's latest fall collection.

How did I miss this before. Top, top post

The Machine The Machine

Though, again, DWW, as far as I know, is a graduate student of political economy, which means that it is more like 25k-30k. So some of you who sympathize with his "enthusiasm" might want to reconsider your position.
who cares about his income?

stop this middle management mentality

focus on the important matter

he is an obnoxious brown nosing easily hurt pseudo authority
