Dear God.

I really want T-shirts that say "I quit this homo forum".The correct response is "that's it, I quit this homophobe forum full of overly attent tacky sodomiciers"

Note: I'm not getting anything in return for posting about Nicholas here. I don't even have an order with him at the moment (paid, discounted, free, or otherwise). Nothing of that sort has ever been discussed or even brought up. I've just been in correspondence with him and think he's a talented, down-to-earth guy, so it would be nice to see him succeed. Given that small-house makers often suffer from lack of publicity, it seemed good to mention his travel schedule to people who might be interested in his work.
Read the rules on the FTC site I posted. Then take not of what DW claims in his post on SF that was called out.
Dieworkwear makes a point that he was not paid or given anything in return for his post. My point was that if he's lying and is shilling for the company like SodoSEmite claims, then he would be violation of these rules and ethics.
As I said, I don't buy it and these allegations get tossed out around here with little to no evidence backing them up.
since this will never have a scientific enough of an answer to placate you i suppose it comes down to whether or not you think he's telling the truth. do you? why is it that you think the people on this forum don't?Read the rules on the FTC site I posted. ok, well first off, you can't use Sartodi as a benchmark of anything, much less a coherent opinion. the point of the whole thread is to raise the question. you have to read back from the start to get a clearer picture of the situation.My stance is that I have seen little evidence to point to the fact that he is a shill. Maybe I expect more then a post with "shill" and a link to a thread on another forum or speculation on what his salary range must be to form such a conclusion.
These allegations of shilling seem to get casually tossed out around here. Do you have any evidence beyond existence of threads about certain brands that DW has created? If so, what is it? Several of you seem concerned about this possible shilling, so why not take action? The FTC has rules and guidelines. File a complaint. Do something other then post about it on a web-forum with readership less then a high-school graduation class.

While I know for a fact that shilling does happen on SF, I am not convinced that DW is taking part in it. Show some real evidence or take action. Right now, this is all blowing smoke.
How about craptom? Is he a shill? He says sometimes it's free, sometimes he receives discounts (how much? 5% or 95%?) and sometimes he pays full price?
Can our resident shill scientists please opine?

Sodasemen believes everyone who writes a blog and highlights a humble arthisan, product or brand is a Shill. Might be true to a lesser or greater extent depending on the blogger. That is the crux. Bloggers do not generally employ journalistic integrity

Craptom was a shill until he was called out on accepting gifts and then started to make declarations. However he often writes questionable reviews such as when he was demounted by Sarto on the Burgos vs Kiton shirt reviews. So shill? Kind of. Irritating twat? Absolutely.
Check out his work as editor of Intelectual Property Management; his primary job.
he's got you thereIntelectual, proper (hand)job and crap-tom can´t be on the same sentence.
he's got you there
Here is the sentence(s):
His career is as a trade journalist, having edited magazines related to finance, banking and the law for the past 10 years. He is currently the editor of Managing Intellectual Property, the leading global magazine for patents, trade marks and copyright with a readership of 13,000 and annual turnover of around £4 million. He manages a team of eight journalists and editors based in London, New York and Hong Kong.
If that is written as his blog, i guess those patents will be soon copied made in china
