A Futile and Stupid Gesture: The History of the First Trump Presidency & Q-Anon

Flynn was an unstable nutter who was a pariah in the national security field. Only desperate hangers on who so badly want to be a part of the security field like Leit think that guy was worth a shit. He was terrible as a leader, he was only useful as a foot soldier.

The dude got kicked out of both Democratic and Republican administrations lol.
I disagree with you, also I think Im gonna be applying soon to border patrol. Olo

Not just any scandal. Trump has known for weeks and didn't revoke his top secret clearance. Rain Man Rain Man what are your thoughts on this?

This is only the beginning.

Bigger than all this, though, the number of leaks coming out of this White House is alarming. There's a tidal wave of fireable offenses being reported every day, and keeping the press away from the unmitigated shitshow of this floundering circus is turning out to be impossible. As it should be.

SCROTUS honestly thought he was going to be the CEO of America, and that every one of us would salute and do what he says, and we don't work that way. There's a misconception among those who never served that we're a million-man army of obedient drones, and nothing is further from the truth. It's much more The Brink than 24. The most colorful and creative people I've ever met are in the military (especially in the quiet, weird corners of it where I get my mail), and we all have a vested interest in questioning authority and getting away with shit because our lives depend on it. As a result, the IC is out to nail Trump's corrupt ass in the interest of doing its job, and it turns out he can't even keep his junior staffers in line. Hell, the park rangers made him their bitch.

There's enough dirt on several members of this administration right now, even in open-source reporting, to completely replace them and several members of Congress along with them. I don't know the full extent of what we have on them -- I don't work with data on USPERS and I couldn't comment if I did -- but I would assess with high confidence that leadership just wants to make sure the cases are bulletproof before they pounce, and they're likely wargaming it right now, because transition management is a thing that we do ("toppling governments" had such a nasty ring to it), but not one we expected to have to do here at home. It will completely fuck over our standing in the world, and I imagine it will likely wreck the Dow, were we to frog-march a line of perps out of the White House not thirty days in. I think we could, but I think we won't. If it was me, I'd pick this administration apart over the next twenty months, keep the outrage coming at regular intervals, and let the voters do the rest.

There's also the risk of a low-key "revolution" by the Rascal-riding lardasses who will "mobilize" when Alex Jones tells them that this is all a coup by the Illuminati. Believe me, no one in the military is worried about an actual civil war; Trump supporters will run out of Cheetos and hemorrhoid cream pretty quick and after that it's just a mop-up operation. I give it a week. We'll see a few cut-rate Malheur Standoffs and then they'll waddle back to their trailers, weeping.

The lesson here is that being a dictator is awesome until the last two hours or so.

So what you are saying is that the CIA/FBI and the military are actively plotting a coup against a democratically elected President and his administration and then what.....give it to Hillary?

Thats what I got of it also.

Not remotely.

The IC is likely investigating whether or not the president and his administration should be implicated in a number of wide-ranging conspiracies to commit espionage and treason, and to what extent the leadership of this country is beholden to, or compromised by, a hostile foreign government. And should they determine so, then yes, they'll remove anyone involved. "Enemies foreign and domestic" and all that. That's in the job description.

They'd never hand it to Hillary. Grow up.

Pence would become president -- or the next person down the line who manages to evade prosecution. Probably Pence. But it would be moot, because the voters would run his ass out and anyone with an "R" after their name come 2018.

I seriously think that having Pence as a pres would be as bad or worst than Hillary, both of them warhawks.

Also, I don't have a dog in this fight. It wouldn't surprise me if this was all orchestrated by Hillary as a way to destroy the Republican party permanently.

Wait, a conspiracy to unearth a conspiracy? We're getting at inception levels here

While me and my boss talked about this earlier, its uneasy how certain agencies can do as they wish with no accountability wether its lying to everybody including the potus and do as they wish while the moment they are threaten they do brilliant work such as thia. Sad to see this, if only they did this work when its really necesary.

Since the famous dossier claiming the russian hack to the FSB and not FAPSI and their subordinate unit Spetssvyaz, its hard to have faith on them.

This is not over, either. Flynn is likely looking at 3 years under the Logan Act. He will very likely be indicted. Now, if he can prove that senior staff knew he made contact with the Russians . . . ouch.

If I was Mike Flynn, I'd stay away from small planes.

Well, before you chaps do anything rash, please try and get those 28 pages out in the unexpurgated variorum text addition.

Republican senators call for Russia investigation, Flynn testimony
By Tom LoBianco, Phil Mattingly and Eugene Scott, CNN

Updated 12:10 PM ET, Tue February 14, 2017

(CNN)The Senate's second-ranking Republican and other GOP senators are calling for an investigation into connections between President Donald Trump and Russia, and want former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to testify.

Sen. John Cornyn, who has called for an investigation into Trump's tie to Russia before Flynn resigned, told reporters Tuesday that the Senate standing committees with oversight of intelligence need to investigate Flynn. Sen. Roy Blunt, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, also told KTRS radio he wanted to speak with Flynn.
Blunt told KTRS radio that an investigation "needs" to happen.

GOP Senate Intel Member: Exhaustive investigation into Trump-Russia connections needed following Flynn resignation
"I think everybody needs that investigation to happen," he said. "And the Senate Intelligence Committee, again that I serve on, has been given the principle responsibility to look into this, and I think that we should look into it exhaustively so that at the end of this process, nobody wonders whether there was a stone left unturned, and shouldn't reach conclusions before you have the information that you need to have to make those conclusions."

Blunt said lawmakers need to talk to Flynn "very soon."

"I would think that we should talk to Gen. Flynn very soon and that should answer a lot of questions. What did he know? What did he do? And is there any reason to believe that anybody knew that and didn't take the kind of action they should have taken," he asked.

Sen. Lindsey Graham also said he wants an investigation into Flynn's conversations with a Russian ambassador about sanctions.

"I think Congress nees to be informed of what actually Gen. Flynn said to the Russian ambassador about lifting sanctions," the South Carolina Republican told CNN's Kate Bolduan on "At This Hour."

"And I want to know, 'Did General Flynn do this by himself or was he directed by somebody to do it?'"

I expect Flynn to do a 'tell-all' interview throwing his former colleagues under the bus .... when his Russian handlers tell him to.

The reality here is that Russia hacked our election. We have a dossier from a vetted, trusted intelligence professional with a solid reputation, with 35 pages of data suggesting that Russia has compromising information on the president, and it was convincing enough that the heads of multiple agencies confronted both POTUS and SCROTUS with it. We know that Russia was in touch with the president's national security adviser before he took office. We know that key members of the president's campaign staff are under investigation for being in cahoots with the Russian government during the campaign. We know that Trump was heavily invested with the Russkies, and he refuses to release any information about it, now. What's he hiding? And by the way, he can refuse to publicly release his taxes but that doesn't mean they can't be subpoenaed, nor that the next Frank Wilson wannabe doesn't already have them.

Just because the man in the street has forgotten all this in the tsunami of unbelievable fuckwittery spewing from the White House doesn't make it go away. There are ongoing investigations into all of this. Multiple arms of the IC, likely law enforcement, and the House Intelligence Committee are all looking into these things and much more, even as I type this.

SCROTUS and his ball-washers can insist all they want that we have to "move on," but that's not going to derail several, and likely several dozen, ongoing investigations. The music will stop, and there are several chairs already missing.

is this more of the golden shower bullshit?

That's only one small piece of it. There's 35 pages to that report.

And while it got panned as "unverified," nothing in this line of work is ever "verified." You judge information by source veracity and plausibility.

The big thing is that the guy who put that report together didn't go back to his masters with it -- Dems doing opposition research -- but took it straight to the Feebs. That's immensely troubling.

Sorry, you've lost me now Rain Man, I don't buy your narrative. As you've made clear, the IC are against Trump and want him gone, so they would have moved against him before the election just to be sure. Like a week or so before the election to ensure his credibility was destroyed.

35 pages? It's the 28 pages on Saudi official sponsorship of 9/11 that we all want. The alleged 35 pages on golden shower activities is pure BS and we all know it. Russia is small chicken feed compared to business opportunities in the US and Europe. Why would Trump sell himself to Russia? It's absurd. Just because Hillary sold herself to the Saudis.

The IC isn't against Trump. They're sure as shit against the Russians, though.

"Saudi official sponsorship of 9/11?" You want information on reptilian aliens, too?

Publish the 28 pages and let the people decide. Slightly less than Pissgate in page numbers, but I am sure much more revealing.

I believe in the nationalities of the hijackers of 9/11 and their activities with fellow countrymen in the USA before 9/11 is revealing and worthy of transparent release of those 28 pages.

Or should we get back to let's impeach the President for he must be an agent of Russia who are the real existential threat?

He was hounded out because he broke the law. This whole Nixonian idea that "if the president does it, it's not illegal," doesn't fly.

When you serve this country, you take an oath to support and defend the Constitution, not the members of the Executive Branch.

I'm under narcotics or alcohol or both but did I just read a page about Sept 11 (it's finished - the rebuild is finished too) and David Peatreus emerging from the woodwork (graveyard?).
