He's actually better at his job than most of the senior staff are at theirs, to hear the other staffers tell it. Spicer is a shining model of competence and professionalism by Trump's standards.

My favorite theory is that some group is using Islam to destabilize Western Europe and then take advantage of the chaos to further cement their control over the economic, cultural, and social infrastructure. Israel is absolutely complicit.

Entrenched interests desiring more money and more power make more sense than hippy leftist cucks as the ones really making these decisions. Those are nothing more than stool pigeons.

All good conspiracy theories have some basis in fact, the Eurabian conspiracy theory does have some credance in the policies of the then Common Market and the UK Labour government from 1997 onwards had an open door policy particularly towards immigration of Muslims from Pakistan and elsewhere with a mission to "Rub the noses of the Tories in ethnic diversity." There was a conspiracy to foster unbridled and unlimited immigration on the nation to bring in loyal Labour voters as Blair's government saw it. It was an underhand conspiracy as this was not official policy, or mentioned in the manifesto and very little attention in the media given to recording a massive influx of people as yet unknown in the history of the UK. From that perspective, there is an element of truth in the conspiracy theories.

Another example, are the wild conspiracy theories around Jimmy Savile which existed at the David Icke level for several years and then much of what David Icke had been stating turned out to be true.

Conspiracy theories may act as the Jungian fool archetype.
 
Most conspiracy theories are a replacement for religion. With the demise of the common religions most people latch onto another higher power. For some that's spirtualaity, for others that's conspiracy theories with all powerful elites working behind the scenes to shape our world.

Trump's big turnaround appears as a victory of the neocons (against the paleocons revival he embodied during the elections). His recent reversals on Syria, China and NATO could be an attempt to obtain more freedom of movement from the Republicans and the Democrats for his internal policy. An another hypothesis is he is just a dumb ass.

Also, if it happens to be a lot of whats going on is because his daughter and son in law, then it would be a sad sad sad day. My hypothesis is still that Trump has early stage Alzheimer's and is extremely easily influenced by those around him. Now that Bannon isn't whispering in his ear 24/7 anymore he's being influenced by the more traditional, career politicians surrounding him. Hence all the flip flops.

There are lots of theories floating around the web, from Trump finally showing his true colours to playing the establishment and war hawks with a half-hearted attack on a Syrian airfield and gaining the momentum/ control back from the CIA and into the hands of the military and eventually eliminating the "collusion with Russia" thing at the same time!
