A Futile and Stupid Gesture: The History of the First Trump Presidency & Q-Anon

correct. the help pages and chat of slashdot are FILLED with qualified engineers who have been replaced by immigrants and are now in need of work.

To be fair, if you're a good software developer and you can't find a job in this economy there's something seriously wrong with you. You might have to move to a different city, but there are plenty of jobs for Americans. Unemployment is at record low levels, I believe unemployment rates for Americans with a bachelor is at 2.3% or something ridiculously low. If you have a postgrad it's even lower. Trump has endorsed the unemployment numbers as well since taking office, if that's the sort of thing that convinces you.

Yeah, the bottom barrel sys admin, qa, code monkey stuff has been replaced by cheaper labour, but it's not exactly a high skilled job if you can be replaced so easily. Like any field, you need to continually work on improving yourself. Bear in mind, there are only 85k visas, and not all of them go to tech, so it's impossible for foreigners to take all the 320mm jobs!

Do you work in IT? Calling those jobs bottom barrel is off the mark. Even a decent QA person makes 60 or 70k.

Those 'bottom barrel jobs' are what entry level computer science grads used to get to start their career. Now they're not because some guy from Mumbai cut him out.

And the vast majority of those visas go to tech.

You are also wrong about the ease of finding a job. There is a big difference between being a contracting shill and a quality job with proper benefits. Because of the H1-B disaster, lots of qualified people are in positions that they should not be in.

Entry level programmers at the big tech firms make around 100k.

Why is my harem in the Trump presidency thread?

Because you and Monkeyface Monkeyface are going to be co-workers. Or at least you will be his boss.

He is emigrating to Canada and Toronto is a good place for him. You will get him a job in your German firm, you will show him the ropes about all the top top bars and restaurants.

And you can share Uber fares. And of course your ladies!

Isn't he in investment banking? Although it might seem the same to everyone, pushing things from the inbox to the outbox to sell fictitious products that only exist on paper is different between insurance and capital markets.

He can't emigrate to Canada just like that. He needs to get in a queue if he wants to land as a permanent resident. Last I checked we don't make preferences anymore for the British. He can get a transfer or get a job and the company in Canada can sponsor him on a fast track skilled/executive work permit. Or you or I could open a phony corporation and sponsor him but they're clamping down on that these days.

Yes he is in finance. Don't you have a need for crackerjack finance people in your German Konzern?

Can you not sponsor him? Wouldn't you want to help him out?

He is at the back of the queue for his US visa.

Justin invited all refugees to come to Canada. Can't you pull some strings with your Liberal contacts?

Isn't he originally Dutch?
If he wants to get into Canada just cross the US border and claim to be a refugee and/or a transgender.
Justin loves either.

BTW, what is all that talk about blocking imports of Canadian timber and dairy products?
Oh yes, he (Trump, not Monkeyface Monkeyface ) is also going after German exports to the US, which will mostly be cars. Makes me wonder whether that is to make the UK Brexit a bit softer. With the US putting up import taxes on German products the German government might need to support it's car manufacturers and be nicer to the UK.

Timber is outisde of NAFTA and America says Canada subsidizes softwood lumber because it is cut on public lands making it cheaper to import thus poor America lumberjacks are hungry.

Trump's milk tirade is actually only about ultrafitered milk which is used in cheese. Canada uses supply management which sets high import tariffs, production quotas and prices so dairy, eggs & poultry are almost all produced domestically because farmers can earn a living and consumers pay higher prices than America.

But the ultra filtered milk product was imported big time from the US until the industry figured out how to make it cost effective to be produced domestically.

So Wisconsin is bitching. There are more cows in Wisconsin than Canada.

Australia, NZ and American apparently Mexico are piling on.

Canadians do not want Mexican cheese. The only worse cheese is Venezooalien beaver cheese.

Hi,

To keep all of our members and readers apprised of our present status:

Our installation of litespeed and search seemed to be the cause of the lags.
Since our installation of litespeed has acted up on us before (in February, during testing), we are now using Apache We installed elastisearch instead, which is supposed to be much more efficient and less of a resource hog

Going forward, we will also be consulting with the foremost server expert for large forums, so that we know that our server is optimized to deliver the best performance and the best user experience for you.

Once we are satisfied with performance, the site will be opened for posting again.

All the missing images from December 15, 2016 to April 17, 2017, are being out back into the forum, right now.

On a less techy note, @Moneyshotface arguing with @JoeBob might be an entertaining bit but not for the fact that coveting and purchasing a Dodge Charger renders the former as a very in form tasteless, dopey American so they will be bff upon the arrival of the Santa Maria though this should put him at TOP of US visa q and on any hit list to create a finer world + we are also reinstalling our beloved smilies!, so we can hopefully all :foo: again shortly.
On a more techy note, we are upgrading the Classifieds so that FriendCustomer may sell his gross of 'best 120oz/3000000000000g vintage fabrics from shoulders of ancient taylorz in hidden Europarts' to his mentally challenged groupie followers in lands, usually, far away.

Thanks for being patient with us.

Cheers,

Fok Yu on behalf of the DressedWell team.

Yes and no. It's retarded for the country but I'd make a shedload. Sorry bout the rest of you suckers.

Edit:Just to be clear, mostly sarcasm. It would bankrupt us.

LOL. And Bernie's free everything wouldn't?

That's for Rambo too.

I thought doghouse wasn't a Bernie bro.

Anyway, I always said if there was any collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia's interference (I don't think there was), Trump wouldn't be party to it, and looky what I spy while purchasing some OPA.

Where is it now? In a US benk?

That money is likely spread out across the globe. Interesting idea, even though Lyin' Ted is a world class piece of shit. The irony that one of the worst people on Earth paid for the wall is hilarious. Stretch that idea out and you can use seizures from illegal immigrant criminals to fund it. The El Chapo Act... brilliant.
