A Futile and Stupid Gesture: The History of the First Trump Presidency & Q-Anon

Travel ban is back on. Syrians are included - no mention that they're only really wanting to target Muslims so sorry Syrian Christians. I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop on the other Arab nations (home of Wahabbism), Indonesia and Pakistan to be in the mix.

Well, maybe they should try not living in Syria if they didn't want the banhammer.

Iraqis are saved. Good chaps the lot of them - that is if they finish the job in Mosul or they will may be in the next ban.

i) Probably, though I doubt to this extent primarily because Russia's elections and democratic processes are much more difficult for an external power to manipulate or control it (as the incumbent power does this already)

ii) In some cases, our security was lax. In other cases, there is very little which can be done, certainly at the time.

iii) A good question. I know that in at least one case an explicit effort made to address it was stymied by partisan bickering. Basically the issue was politicized early in the election. Outside of that, I suspect much of Obama's inaction can be chalked up to a) our intelligence community not knowing the full extent of the campaign b) fully expecting Clinton to win and deal with it

The election was so close that it wouldn't take much to sway it. Trump won 5 states by less than 1.5% and 2 states by less than 0.5%. Clinton had all the charisma of a geriatric walrus, so while Russia probably didn't influence anyone deep in their respective echo chambers, it did probably impact turnout.

A dozen things cost Clinton the election. One of them was Russia. Many were of her own doing or of her party's doing. If any one factor played out differently, the outcome would have been different.

Russia is the biggest issue because it is a foreign power meddling. At the same time, I share the frustration of Clinton's unwillingness to accept responsibility for th loss (something which is not shared by her party: the majority of Dem talking heads acknowledge that they failed, though of course they'd much rather talk about Russia since a) it is a bigger issue b) it annoys Trump and c) doesn't require them to speak negatively about their party)

That's offensive to geriatric walruses.

Bellingcat Buffoonery on Khan Sheikyoun by Publius Tacitus

The pushback against Sy Hersh's latest piece of genuine investigative journalism in which he exposes the lie that the Government of Syria hit Khan Sheikyoun with a sarin gas attack on 4 April 2017 is based on ignorance and misinformation. The leader of this effort is Eliot Higgins, who blogs under the handle, Bellingcat. Who is Eliot Higgins? According to Wikipedia:

In 2012, when Higgins began blogging the Syrian civil war, he was an unemployed finance and admin worker who spent his days taking care of his child at home;[1] he is married to a Turkish woman.[3][4] . . .

Higgins has no background or training in weapons and is entirely self-taught, saying that "Before the Arab spring I knew no more about weapons than the average Xbox owner. I had no knowledge beyond what I'd learned from Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rambo."[1] Higgins does not speak or read Arabic.[4]

Higgins is credited with being among the first to report on the widespread use of improvised barrel bombs by the Syrian government, a phenomenon which has spread to other troubled nations such as Iraq to combat insurgencies and opposition forces.[5][6]

Ah yes, an uneducated, inexperienced guy with an opinion who happens to be married to someone of Turkish descent. Nothing unusual there, right? Of course he's an expert on sarin (sarcasm fully intended).

The fact that this gentlemen is treated as a credible source is further proof of the insanity that has taken over the public debate. He knows nothing other than what he has read. He has not been through live agent training at Fort McClellan (I have). He has no scientific background in the subject matter and no experience (other than playing video games) with actual chemical weapons (Ted Postol, who has written extensively on the subject, does have actual scientific and military expertise on the topic). Higgins knows nothing of the military doctrine for employing such weapons. He knows nothing of the process and procedures required for a military unit to safely handle, load, activate and deploy such weapons.

Actual people with such expertise look at the public accounts about what supposedly happened at Khan Sheikyoun and scratch their heads. Why?

one of his articles is at this link). Those who insist that there was sarin are relying entirely on second hand evidence collected by individuals with direct ties to radical Islamic groups. Not one single independent outside observer was allowed to the scene to collect forensic evidence or examine victims. The only "victims" examined took place a couple of days later in Turkey.

But we now have video evidence that it was not sarin. Watch as the White Helmets collects samples that they boldly declare as SARIN without having performed a single scientific field test. They collect samples declaring the water, etc as SARIN!! Talk about magic.

This is all about propaganda and media manipulation. You will spot two individuals dressed up in some form of bizarre MOPP gear (they are fully covered). But that is not the case for everyone else running around, especially the knuckle heads carrying the supposed samples of deadly sarin. A simple surgical mask provides absolutely no protection whatsoever against SARIN. This is absurdity worthy of Monty Python.

So, here is the situation. Sy Hersh, a proven investigative journalist with a solid track record spanning 6 decades, has actual sources with first hand knowledge about what the U.S. military and intelligence community actually know. Hersh's reporting is attacked by Eliot Higgins, a chubby house husband who has no education nor experience in the field of chemical weapons and has no first hand sources. And who are we supposed to believe when it comes to an alleged Sarin attack? Why, Higgins of course.

One thing you can say about the White Helmets, they are very poor actors. But who's worse, them or our traitor class who "believe" and sponsor them?

Death of a news channel:

BBC is running on on their main page what kind of chemical attack would provoke the President. The truth is - in address to Rambo's .de article - you don't need facts or evidence to goad the President into acting. Photographs of dying babies dying, economic opportunism, Ivanka crying on daddy's shoulder or some other manner of shallow motivation is all that's required. The stupidest thing Assad could do is mock and shame President Trump on Twitter - say an attack on his manhood because Assad "the Lion" is able to carry a better moustache than him. Then you know someone's firing a round of cruise missiles and a MOAB on the Assad palace.

The President just accused former President Obama of colluding with the Russians during the elections. To elect him? To not elect him? Who knows? And people expect a man like that to have a structured interpretation of intelligence on chemical weapons with matching levels of military response vis-a-vis a strike on Syria?

He doesn't decide anything anymore. He's the PR guy now, schmoozing with the reporters. That's what he enjoys. The other parts of the job have been outsourced.

Just realised typing on a commuter train is not the best idea.

Anyway. President Trump doesn't decide anything anymore? He's not a decider like President Bush?!?

Taking down the fake legacy media and the Clinton machine:

As you can see, Styx gets it, Trump is using perceived chaos to lull his enemies into a carefully laid trap of their own making. He is using their character weaknesses to bring them down, classic give them enough rope.

I can't look past the chest acne. Please post Clinton demounting videos which have less chest acne.

Fear not gentle reader, brace yourself in the decompression chamber for some turbulence and/or inflight entertainment, here's the pocket square Brooks Brothers tie approved version:

All I get from the last few posts is Youtube is hosting a bunch of crap mostly amounting to a load of bollocks.

The easiest way to get MSM off the Russia collusion thing is probably for the WH to actually do something about Russia. I get that there are executives who are after the ad revenue generated by the narrative, and there are probably some nutters who actually believe the narrative, but most of the animus derives from the unwillingness of the WH to actually do anything about Russia's interference. The closest thing to even acknowledging it is to blame Obama for not doing enough about it...and then proceed to do even less (nothing). It may be out of frustration. It may be ego and a fear that acknowledging it puts an asterisk on his presidency. It may be that Russia is one of two countries in the world that think more positively of him than Obama and he doesn't want to fuck that up.

It frustrates me, and I despair that polarization and cognitive dissonance has brought us to a point where huge swathes of Americans can recognize that a foreign power meddled in our elections and then say, "well, it isn't that big a deal." The mind boggles.

^ stupid to the point that it'll be little more than a publicity stunt backed by a few restless Dems in deep blue districts

You gotta like Berlusconi, though:

Much of the commentary on Macron’s alleged natural submissiveness hints at his relationship with his wife – twenty-five years his senior – with Italy’s larger-than-life former president Silvio Berlusconi teasing that he is “a nice lad with a good-looking mum”.

You gotta like Berlusconi, though:

There was a good documentary on Berlusconi on Netflix awhile back. I could never understand my Italian colleagues and associates like for him before watching this, then I understood, here was a man who stood up for Italy and scuppered the EU nefarious plans. Now they're really screwed and the EU are buying them off with lots of jobs and placements in EU entities.

Your gullible trumptard colleagues and associates might be excused, but with hindsight it is quite apparent that Italy is screwed to a good extent exactly because of picking an assclown as CEO for something like a decade.

The rock that Italy will perish on, as to the EU project, is the immigrant crisis. Italy would have muddled their way through somehow as they always have. Berlusconi portrayed as an out right buffoon in the media outside of Italy, was no different to his predecessors, he just did it with added bunga-bunga and he has been proven right on a number of topics from the EU to the destruction of Libya. Now it is emerging that Renzi struck deals with the EU to become the continent's refugee camp in exchange for leniancy on the national debt vs GDP figures.

Ehh no. Compare Spain's economic recovery vs Italy's and you'll see that politics certain matters. Berlusconi harmed Italy tremendously, perhaps past the point of no return.

Er no: Italy before Berlusconi was a banana republic, but it was the best a banana republic could ever be. He didn't change that. What it has and still has going for it are a very industrious people. The Euro is also a burden for Italy: the ability to devalue which was what gave Italy it's ultra-competitiveness is gone. Hence real labour costs when compared to somewhere like here, works out at 20%-25% more expensive in Italy.

Spain was not too dissimilar. Corruption has gone down tremendously. Labour laws are easier. Unwiding of bad banks is going much smoother than Italy. The economy is recovering. Berlusconi merely muddled along. They needed a reformer, but didn't choose one, and might choose for the ominous 5 stars next.

You talk in platitudes. Industrious people? What does that even mean?

It means they are the opposite if bone idle. Italians are very good in quite a few fields, in my industry: machine shops, valve manufacture, pressure vessel fabrication, ship building and they're very good at negotiating deals with despots and in shit holes where other nationalities struggle.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-to-question-west-s-will-to-survive-in-speech

Trump told a cheering crowd that at times chanted his name. “The fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive.”

Uhm...which one of us doesn't want to survive? Anyone heading back to feudalism or communism?

Islamism dummy. The question is apt and good to have a President who's on our side for a change.

We've already regressed to feudalism. 1% holds over 50% of the wealth.

I care nought for the 1%, so long as I can go out and earn more than the next man and get ahead through hard work. If the wealth is relative and there's opportunities, why care about who has more than you? I really don't.

Is it more important to be a millionaire, or live like one?

It's called wage slave for a reason...

Not at all, in many areas the Italians are doing well and have retained industries that the UK lost, because of small family run businesses, particularly in valve manufacture.

Wage slave pertained to working for a living, instead of owning the capital. I'm not a fan of being dependent on a corporation for sustenance. Nowadays, the only way to wealth is through ownership.
