what does this have to do with bespoke tailoring?
Nothing. I meant to drop this in the general clothes musing thread. :/

Yep, just Mon-Fri 9-5. Closed on weekends and bank holidays.
My tailor will meet me on a Saturday or an evening if I need them to.
But how many orders have you given them over the past years? I'm sure you qualify as a TopTopElite™ customer...
Des Merrion back in action.

seems he hasnt adjusted his prices to reflect the curry house outlet

They're willing to do 6pm now, so that should work for me once in a while. I'll only have to leave an hour or two early from work.
General question: does a tailor always need to do fittings? Let's say I get fitted for a couple suits and jackets (4-5) between now and possible moving. Would I just be able to order from a distance from then on and they ship the finish product? I've seen one or two on SF do that.
That's certainly not curry house prices - those strides are more expensive than Ambrosia 2 year trousers.

Somebody PLEASE TRY this: Get back-alley Napoli tailoring in much nicer Florence, marvel at the beauty of the official Shitbumi house cut, enjoy being expertly measured and fitted by Bene himself ("both of which I have now learned really long enough from several tailors"). Starts at only 2.8k for a suit! Shirts on offer as well.
I don't have an account anymore, never cared for the pics.
best priced socks in europe though. shame hes not restockingYes you only go there to trade Roermond Outlet tips. Guess it's only Urban's sock forum for you these days.
I like that windowpane. It's an interesting combo.

we stayed there for quite some time. talking about lengths of cloth needed for a suit. mainly because there wasnt very much of the sportex by modern standards (3m+ for an average guy). he told us that in the old days when there were tons of young boys working at the sartorias they cut suits for an average guy from 2.3 meters. telling that it would take an apprentice a full (italian) working day for this job because you needed every cm of cloth.
this keeps hope alive. and means sandyman probably wasnt bullshitting us about his old english tailor
yes indeed. back in the day he told us they did everything to save cloth as it was expensive relative to labourInteresting. It's probably a function of hourly wage vs cost of extra meter of cloth.
