All About Watches

It will be, his first, of many...
Doubtful. Can't sell this one because its getting engraved and next up is an Omega Seamaster historic, which is about the last sport watch I need. Then either a Glashutte Senator Rattrapante or Vacheron retrograde perpetual.

Should have got this doggy

We'll see...

My next sportswatch is likely to be an Omega Moonwatch. And then one of those JLC Master Ultra-Thins for a dress watch.

Those JLCs are very nice. One of the few watches I like the looks of as much as my VC Patrimony. The A Lange & Sohns stuff too.

The current Saxonia is nice. Too many L&S have a cuckoo-clock look that doesn't appeal to me. Excellent watch company though.

No, their offset dials and the like don't do anything for me. I strictly like their classic stuff like the 1815 200th Anniversary models.

Lange? I didn’t know you were ballin’ like that.

I couldn't see myself buying one of the super duper ones.

Yes and yes, for both
Looking not bad so far
It is quite an ordeal if you are looking for one with a blue dial. 15202 is comparatively easy to get when you are ready to pony up the cash and buy through the boutique, you just need to wait for at least 6 months. 5711 is a different story altogether. . . If you don't mind me asking, what kind of waitlist are you on? Which country? Deposit or no deposit?

Just trade in a couple Longines and you should be able to cover it.

I'm actually Longines-less at the moment. I still might buy a VHP Quartz. I think they're out now, they weren't before Christmas.

Definitely no luxury watches for me until the good times return, can't justify it and it would make me feel bad, plus it wouldn't go down well with the clients, not to mention the missus with no bonus coming in. That's why I'm double sure it's the Ole Mathiesen Royal Marine in meetings for the foreseeable. You walk in with a chunky Sub or Daytona and they're going to brand you a.... so screw ya'! As they award the business to one of your cheap and cheery competitors who's excuse for poor performance will come later.

It's gigantic - almost 2cm thick, I think. Too large for me.

Yeah, that's totally why I'm not buying it. Too thick...

Has to fit all this inside.

I actually think it's only 15mm thick, which is the same as an Omega PO or Rolex Sea Dweller. Granted, this isn't a tool watch, but I still don't think it's way out in left field.or anything.

I wonder where they got the inspiration from....

Do you guys know of a good compromise between the Jlc ultrathin moonphase and the Glasshüte panomatic lunar, white or navy face?!
Budget is around is around £5-6k - second hand naturally.
Ideally between 38-41mm.

Abso...phuckin...lutely...I'd rock dat phucka wid out battin an eyelid.

Its fantastic, I'd derive a certain perverse pleasure from people thinking the worst..

Please don't, think of the children!

Both very fine examples of moonphase watches. You'll get them both in the second hand market for that price range.
