All About Watches

I agree, most Brietlings are ugly, and the Navitimer is no beaut. But there's a reason I picked those particular two, and that's because they both hark back stylistically. They are both, to use that much overused phrase 'classics'.

My next watch will be a chronograph, I already have a divers.

I can't take Breitling seriously after those Bentley monstrosities.

The Speedmaster Broad Arrow or the new MKII is the way to go.

The ‘57 trilogy Speedmaster is a nice edition and a little less vanilla than the ‘pro’:

Like the mark ii as well if you’re into late ‘60s/early ‘70s style.

Cant go wrong with either of those especially as both have inbuilt tackymeter!

this is just wrong. like a cross between an audemars and an omega.

The re-edition MKII looks a lot better in real life and it's faithful to the original. You can pick-up decent original MKII's for between €1750 - 2250.

An evolutionary and aesthetic dead-end, but still interesting if you can source in mint condition for under €2000:

Or you could source a nice, lightly-used "Broad Arrow" re-edition from 2004-05 and save yourself some thousands of dollars... it doesn't come with the faux-patina, though.

Or you could source a genuine Mk II Speedmaster from the late '60s or early '70s, pay half as much as you would for the re-edition, and get an iconic 861 movement to boot!

I really think my next pickup is the 57 Seamaster.

Been thinking a lot about gold 36mm AP ROs recently. An extremely handsome watch with a very sweet price tag. You can get a watch in great condition for around €12.000- which is a steal if you compare it to a new steel RO!

12K omg
most expensive watch I've ever owned costs 100 times less
this is when I feel weird being at the same forum as you people
btw what is a tackymeter? does it measure level of tackyness? instagram dudes sure make that thing explode

Why not go for the two-tone model for something like this?

Twice the attitude at half the price.
Scowl not included.

Sorry, not into “sourcing”, only KOPPING

Reliable and accurate, and mechanical, is exactly what I'm looking for.
If you’re looking for a sports watch, just get a Seiko SKX (007 or 009) and be done with it. It checks basically all the boxes, unless you were expecting a certified chronometer in terms of accuracy at that price point.

Do you think it looks too small on the Duke of Kent's wrist, even with his enormous head and tie knot as posted by viaattovannucci viaattovannucci ?
Do you think CesareRomiti CesareRomiti 's 36mm date just and day dates also look too small (posted numerous times i believe)?
yes, yes i do.
its a very chic size

I do think it is a bit small on Le Duke. Probably perfect on CesareRomiti CesareRomiti lady wrist though.
maybe his slender frame is the right size to accommodate that watch.
