how many milanese do you know personally?
i know lots

Ghey Milanese Sharks?
I buy Rolex for my wife.
gold + diamonds?
OR TOOL WQTCHES..?...
No pro diver in their right mind would dive with a fucking Omega. Yes, its a "dive" watch, and it was used by James Bond, but that is all for show.Omega SEAmaster not a dive watch? Bit of a waste of the 2000ft water resistant then.

Very true but many pro's, and even the military types, will still wear an analog watch, just in case their dive computer shits the bed and dies. Just one that is made for diving, like these:No pro diver in their right mind would dive with an analogue watch nowadays, regardless of the brand.
It's been close to 20 years since I last went scuba-diving, but no matter where I went - Micronesia, Maldives, north Queensland, or various other places - every experienced diver was wearing a digital dive computer, not an analogue wristwatch.
These watches are pretty much all for show and not for practical use nowadays, which makes the whole "water resistant" arms race all the more ridiculous.
In the old days, sure:Not just for show. Purpose built for diving.

Of course you can. And its a "dive" watch. But its not really a watch made for diving. But you can dive with the Seamaster just as you can with a Rolex or a Doxa.

there you goBetter to say it's a watch made for diving which no one serious will ever dive with.
Better to say it's a watch made for diving which no one serious will ever dive with. That doesn't mean you can't dive with it, just that you probably wouldn't.
Like you wouldn't take your rare non-PooPoker model Ferrari to a gymkhana.
there you go
there you go
That's not remotely true. Plenty of divers wear Omegas and Doxas and all kinds of shit for backups, I see it all the time. You people are all retarded.Of course you can. And its a "dive" watch. But its not really a watch made for diving.
Yes yes yes. We've already been through all of the qualifications. You're late to the party. That's not remotely true. Plenty of divers wear Omegas and Doxas and all kinds of shit for backups, I see it all the time. You people are all retarded.
May your $3000 watch fall to the bottom of the ocean. It's never too late to tell you people you are idiots.
exactly. i've literally seen people try to rebook dive trips just to find expensive jewelry they've lost on dives.

Let me get this straight.
There are watches that cost the price of a new family car that are called diving watches. They are made to withstand water pressure and look as fugly as possible. They are mainly sold to Asian business men and Americans generally to wear with suits at work. These days real divers don't use them. But some do. The diving watches aren't for diving but on the other hand they definitely are for diving.
They are not "fugly", they are "ruggedly handsome". At least, that's what I tell myself when recoil in horror from the mirror.Let me get this straight.

What?1920's or earlier design watch, new or original?
What?
Hmmm.. spend 5x as much on a modern reproduction of a WWI era watch, or buy one with some actual history? Trench watches are pretty easy to find and quite reasonable as they are not in vogue like the 60s Omegas or 70s Rolexes etc. Especially in the States where you were only in WWI for about 5 minutes so all the military issue watches (and their wearers) never had a chance to be blown to smithereens by Fritz.I want a watch made then or a reproduction!

I give up, what's the punchline? What watch would a gramophone merchant wear?
