What is does every ones ideal peaked lapels look like? Currently I'm in favour of ones with a really sharp look to them, I also like some structure to the shoulder but I don't mind a natural shoulder on them either. I don't think belly looks that good on a peaked lapel, but I like it on a notched lapel.
Belly on a soft shouldered peak lapel coat thematically makes sense to balance out the coat, but in general I'd prefer a soft SB notched lapel coat to a peaked lapel one if that makes sense.

Grey and brown can work very well together, but I’m having a lot of trouble imaging khaki and charcoal working. I did a quick image search and this is the closest I could find:

Actually, if I remember when I get home, I can take a photo of my grey turtleneck next to some khaki chinos and some chocolate moleskins for a better example.

Your question is easily answered with a clear maybe.

Khaki can vary greatly, just as dark gray is not all dark gray. In addition, it's not just the colors that determine combinability, but also pattern, texture, as well as the color ratio.

I've often thought to myself, something won't work, then someone came around the corner and I thought to myself, oh, it will.

Well that was well worth it just to learn how badly I put these away two years ago. Some cotton chinos, wool flannels and moleskins in various shades of brown.

The lighting is crap, but you get the idea. IMO, none of these look great, but the darker browns are the best.

Possibly, maybe a very light grey too? Associate turtlenecks with 60s and for a time in the 80s fashion. Was considering buying one before Christmas, but they didn't have my size.

No convincing reason… I want something comfortable to wear at home and this might be a good alternative to a gown. Could also use it for gardening and stuff like that. Looks nicer than sweatpants or other „loungewear“ imho. Have a slight interest in Japanese stuff, that’s how I encountered it. So basically just for the heck of it.

Generally yes, would probably prefer that to a gown. But too impractical for doing chores I think, eg would not want to climb a tree in a Kimono.

I’m not looking to start a new hobby or learn a new skill, but I have some old shirts and trousers that I could breath new life into rather than throwing them out but turning them into shorts, short sleeve shirts and/or adding some basic darts to take them in. Nothing worth paying the local tailor to do.
