To be fair, dressy semi-formal is quite a wide target to hit. Do they want dressy, or semi-formal, or something in-between?Thanks guys. Yeh, I’m pretty sure I’ll ditch the jacket and tie when I realize I’m better dressed than the groom, but safer to start out with it all.
Never met him, but I hear the groom is an electrician who spends his weekends snorting coke at strip clubs. Looking through their social media and engagement pics, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even have a suit to wear to court dates. The bribe is kinda hippy and some of her fam probably have suits at the back of the closetTo be fair, dressy semi-formal is quite a wide target to hit. Agreed.Linen suit + open shirt is honestly a great option at a casual wedding.

If you wear your own dress shirt when you go shopping to try on suits then you’ll never have to be concerned about such things. When buying a suit do the menswear shops usually leave you try on the dress shirts? are they are usually in packs right, like in my attachement?

This works for footwear also.
do you have a shirt with a collar and full button front that isn't a dress shirt? Sport shirt, casual shirt? Depending on the shop, they may or may not give you a shirt for the fitting. Or tell them you are looking for a dress shirt and suit.I don't have a dress shirt
