These proportions are so off. I guess it's the camera angle. I'd lower the gorge a little, and lengthen the shirt sleeves.

Indeed, a theme or motif can be good, but a charcoal linen jacket matched with a near charcoal tie is not one of them. Okay if you're looking for your pit pony before going down the mine, but in summer cloth, it's just wrong.

That being said, black linen is the kind of abomination best left to high-fashion brands. I had seen and tried on an unstructured all navy seersucker suit from Hermés last season. Now that was an interesting idea. Something that I imagine Monkeyface Monkeyface to be wearing in Florida, if he would genuinely fancy executing a fresh take on the Miami Vice style.

Looks bad then, either go for 3/2, 3 or 2, any middle is idiotic, you don't need a button playing peekaboo. And people buy them...

Black linen is fine only if you're a priest and/or like touching children.

Luckily (or sadly), I'm moving to west coast best coast, so no Miami vice for me.
