Disagreeable Menswear Post Of The Day

Yeah, something about the petit bougeosie of doctor and lawyers makes them really want to announce it to the world.
The limies at FNB used to snicker at all the Andyland posts about college brats yapping about their investment/finance internships and how everyone was always being promoted to vice-president of their company.
As an engineer, I don't have this pedigreed professionalism that must be worn on the sleeve.

I'm a real rustler, I spent decades earning the title so I feel ok to insert it in my name.

Rustling is a time-honoured but misunderstood profession. Long hours, hard work, dangerous and unappreciated by most of society. You get a pass on this one.

Don't engineers wear short sleeves a lot? My son-in-law is an Engineer. He wears a striped hat and toots a whistle (or so I imagine)

Seriously though, it reminds me of how it used to be when in England MD's were "Doctor" and Surgeons were "Mister". Obviously a product of a class system.

Self-importance is a sad fact of law, medicine and other professions. I can only imagine how much worse it will get with the sense of entitlement that today's society is demonstrating.

I presume that dates back to the old days of paper and perncil drafting. I do wear this hat and boots with a buckle on them. I'd forgot about the whistle, as it was a rape whistle used against our kinky delivery driver.
Anyway, there is a reason that I try to use the term physician over doctor.

Like the boots by the way.

English is a strange language. Too much overlap. World of difference between an Engineer, an Engineer and an Engineer.

Even with physician, I still fear for our futures. Nothing worse than the new generation looking up Meds and treatment algorithms on the iPhones right in from of the patient.

So my first reaction: Oh Jesus Christ, all four of them in sockless loafers? That is the most clearly paradoxical bout of nonconformity I've witnessed since high school.

My second reaction: perhaps their intent isn't to be nonconformists. I've always assumed that's why they did it. But perhaps something else lies within that (stinky, likely fungus housing) shoe.

Third Reaction:
I dig the far right outfit, shoes and all.

hmmh, loafers are meant to be worn sockless, anyway.

the fit of the sciamat guy isn't impressive, imo. all the pulling on the back.

the trouser length is indeed very 80ies and the big cuffs are nowhere, imo.

From an AV. Not really sure what they were going for here.

I think that's where they seal in the surgically removed dignity of the wearer.

Some of the stuff he has coming up soon looks to be alright in a sort of #menswear-y way. But that. That I just don't know about.

Maybe you can make a (short) list of those you admire, for future reference?

neither do I admire nor do I like anyone on sf... ...anymore. are you kidding me? none left, despite from our own squad... ...doesn't count, imo.

cant you jsut make full ones and cut them down?

you can do a lot of things. Mr. Berta told me that it would be against his pride as a craftsman. probably, I won't call him as it is not important to me and I'll talk to him, when I see him in person. the fact that these particular trees are four piece instead of three would make sense that they are made by "him". he told me the crux is the area upwards from the ankle. this is a very difficult task. anyway.
