crompton mentions trunk in london

in amsterdam there is a/o oger and pauw. many of the pauw branded suits are caruso made. they also offer(ed) mtm which was a pretty good deal. i believe sartoria in naarden also still carries caruso.

on the dutch stijlforum you should be able to find up to date info on all of these

still in the € 1200-1400 that price bracket nothing beats the como tailor that visits nl regularly, but it takes some planning and patience

Cheers! Trunk is outrageously expensive, but I'll have a look next time I'm in Amsterdam. That traveling is just too much of a hassle at the moment.
 
I remember looking in a mens clothing shop in Naarden a few years ago. That must have been it. Naarden isn't very big though is it?

Hey, the patterns match at the gut-pockets. Is this thing supposed to be that snug, or is this guy just not smart enough to get one loose-fitting enough so the waistband can be buttoned?

He has been ordained as one of the newest experts on SF. You can tell because he now posts with emotion in his poses. His one-two punch of sullen then smiling is captivating.
 
One thing I don't get about Eidos is the "X" silhouette. The extreme cut away of the (long) jacket fronts just looks weird and seems to exacerbate those midrift / buttoning-point wrinkles on quite a few examples.

This is Antonio's rendition/copying of Liverano's (which have their RTW made by the same Isaia factory that churns out Eidos) wide open quarters (shown is a Liverano, not Eidos).

I'm pretty sure that they're trying to replicate the "Liverano silhouette", which has a very cut-away front and which is much admired on SF.

I think that, like most clothing, it flatters certain body types more than others. People who are fairly tall and fairly slim look quite good in it, people who are shorter and not so slim do not look so good in it.

that was my case when I tried. I look okay on Boglioli, LBM or any other Italian manufacturer of similar style but not on Eidos. A slightly longer jacket would help me like this (yes i know is too tight)

In fact the term "open quarters" was invented by Americans on SF from what I know. Certainly wasn't/isn't used by tailors or in tailoring books and journals.
 
There is more than 1 reason why I don't post pictures of myself in the internet .. anyhow I just google absolute bespoke because they do a jacket with very open quarters/front like Eidos and the picture of this bloke just came out.

btw this is Spanish MTM made in Zaragoza (or it was) and yes I don't know why the company is called Absolute BESPOKE....
