Improving DressedWell.net

In case anyone hasn't noticed, I've added the chat on the top of the forum index page at www.dressedwell.net/forums. Since everyone kept forgetting the chat was even there on the page. The page is still available at www.dressedwell.net/chat if you like that view, or want to access the chat archive and catch up on the conversation.

Let me know what you think of the new location please. Opinions matter.

And for those of you who visit the forum landing page at www.dressedwell.net, change your bookmark to add the /forums. This is the forum index page and its really set up for established members.

As quickly as possible of course! But I had moved it below the forum, but now that option seems to be gone? It was in the drop down.

There was an option to put it where you wanted on the page in that little drop options menu. I had it down below the forums this week. All of a sudden this morning it was back at the top and no option to move anymore.

I honestly did not know about that. I will look into it.
 
The style has been updated today to include the 4.4 version of Font Awesome, which has a bunch of new icons for your user name pleasure, including rock, paper, scissors, lizard, spock, and a few others of note

We're monkeying around with the chat to try and get it to appear on the home page, so it doesn't seem like that option will work with what we're trying to do at the moment.

That's fine, I just disabled it.
 
What are the thoughts on the chat embed? No one seems to be using it outside of Leit and Arny.
 
It may be worthwhile to sticky a list of all the DT threads of a :fapfap:photographic nature, since some members are having problems finding them.
 
How much more do I need to donate to cease being a stranger?
 
As you can see from the post above, we can now mark posts in long running threads that contain useful info. I just made the title that obvious so you could see it. Suggestions on what to label them in this thread would be welcome.
 
So chat usage has dropped precipitously since we went to the embedded widget mode. Are you guys not happy with the new location? Prefer the chat page?
 
I have no idea what embedded widget mode is, but once I'm past the home page on a desktop, chat is out of sight, out of mind. The dormant Sportsbook and Classified tabs are still around...

So you prefer the chat tab.

The embed is the way the chat shows in the little box on other pages as opposed to the full page tab view.
 
What's everyone's thought on the Sportsbook? We haven't had a new bet in 5 months now and no one seems to be using it.
 
I like Sportsbook but wouldn't miss it. I wish somebody would but some goofy news/entertainment/political events on which bet. My mind is blank.
