Introduce Yourself

Greetings all! More than happy to join the DW community. Long time reader of Permanentstyle, follower of Saman Amel, Thearmoury, andreasoul and etc.
Although guiltily I do enjoy some of Mr. Crompton's fits, his take on certain things tends to irk me sometimes.

I've only stumbled across DW this morning, and I have been amazed by Mr. Doghouse and LKD's outfits. Although I wonder what sartorial advice you gents would offer for an early 20s college student like me. (Currently, i've been looking for suit makers since RTW seldom fits due to my 6'5 figure)

here's some quick advice - don't spend a ton of money. buy a couple of cheap simple essentials and then slowly build out from there. no one gives a fuck what you're wearing in college.

Advice:: Stay away from internet and especially Instagram and men's clothes forums.

Dress well, but dress like someone your age, not like an old man in a suit who hangs out on mens clothing fora.
 
Hi there all. I hope you're doing alright, this is a difficult time.
I have always been interested in clothes. I am a student of clothing looking to learn more.
At the onset of the pandemic, I began spending more time reading the various clothing forums.
It took a while to find this one... but it seems like the best fit.

I think you're are an excellent user, grade A1. you have definitely made an impression on me during the short time I've been reading the forum. I'm excited to be posting on here with you and looking forward to talking more.
I like vintage clothing and antiques. My ex girlfriend and I visited an expensive flea market while our relationship was budding in the summer before last; I bought a chesterfield cigarette tin for I believe $10 or $15. It's sat on my coffee table since. Not my photo, but this is what it looks like. Same production era; I wonder how long these tins were produced for.

I haven't used it for anything before. for some reason it seemed it would be fine. have had a difficult time picking usernames, email addressees in the past.
Do you have any associations with the name

I didn't consider the cigarettes. I thought maybe you were from Chesterfield in Derbyshire in England, or you like Chesterfield sofas.

I used to lurk here back in the day during the whole PC controversy.
Recently kinda got back to lurking after I was doing research for possible bespoke tailors in Italy.
Decided to make an account instead.
