A polarizing intellect to be sure. I did enjoy him from the point of view that he challenged people to think. Not enough of this
Rather surprised he was never Rushdie'd.

Did he ever slag Muhammad directly?
I'm persuaded by the fact that any centralized, Muslim, religious hierarchy doesn't decry violent acts, bombings, and beheadings in the way you'd suspect any civilized organization would of similar atrocities. Basic silence=consent argument.
I doff my toque in response to these enlightened people who are there for others who don't want to integrate into western society except in times of racial strife driven by this lack of desire to integrate.
The bloke in Sydney is a well known nut. Was an Iranian cleric, public pest, used to write nasty letters to families of Australian soldiers killed, charged with murder of his ex wife, charged with 50 or so sexual offences, not to mention the usual fraud etc
A website that appears to have been made by Monis or his supporters says these latest allegations are “in fact political cases against this Muslim activist, not real criminal cases.”
The website says Monis is “not a member of any organization or party” but he “supports his Muslim brothers [and] sisters… [and] he promotes peace.”
He has now passed on to paradise
Deets? A Western school?
