You can't be coming on here and harassing other members. Its just enough of this bullshit already. People have hard lives and bullshit of their own to deal with. They want to come on to the forum and shoot the shit and enjoy themselves. If we can't even provide that basic service then what the fuck are we even doing here?

Ok. I think I’m done with this forum. I took a break when it started getting bad earlier and hoped things had improved. I just don’t have time for the childish shit that brings any discussion down to dumb threads too quickly. I tried putting the clowns on ignore, but then they run rampant unchecked and unmoderated.

I’ve met some interesting people here and if anyone wants to keep in touch just send me a message.

Rambo rapidly deleted the objectionable posts and banned a couple of members - I can't see how people are running rampant, unchecked and unmoderated, as they have been moderated and they're not running rampant.

If you hadn't pasted copies of deleted posts, no-one would be the wiser, as Rambo went through and cleaned up the childish posts.

It's a great pity that Conchita and Cesare kept on posting high-school level rubbish because they actually had some good info to contribute at times.

i didn't want to do it but we can't have people getting harassed. you want more contributors go recruit some good posters. no one's going to sign up if they see that they're going to get harassed if they god forbid say something some of our members find beneath them.

FC and the Russian were the only two people to regularly post photos and FC cerainly made an effort.

I spent 7 years as a mod on a forum for one of the biggest football clubs in the world. You know what people post after their team lost 4:1 againt their major rival? Or when a couple of Bosnians, Serbs and Croats are having a go at each other? Not to forget people linking illegal streams and so on. I know it's shit and it sucks but I think I read some of their messages and most were stupid trolling.

Still, it's obviously your forum and you make the rules. Can somebody point me to another forum where they post?

I see your point, but I assume that in those cases, people are willingly engaging with each other so as to have an online argument. If both sides are engaged, then I don't have so much of an issue with it.

However, over here, it was a couple of members following another member around, effectively stalking him on the forum and making posts about his personal life and so on. To me, that's bullying. Sure, you might say "harden up", but imagine if that was happening in real life, instead of on an internet forum - say people were following you around at work, making insulting comments about your personal life and so on. It wouldn't (or certainly shouldn't) be tolerated.

DW does not have many members and I think one of the reasons is that, on other fora, we're seen as a forum of immature bullies.

If people wish to go to an area of the forum such as Dumb Threads and argue with and insult each other, that's absolutely fine. Some people enjoy having vituperative online arguments and they enjoy getting down and dirty - but it should be consensual.

they are all, of course, welcome to come back should they be able to act like adults at least 80% of the time and stop being complete shitbags to our other members. if you're finding yourself devoid of someone to talk to you could always go recruit us some more members.
