if i was his biggest customer last year, dont you think i dont have his paypal??? or assuming i never used paypal to pay him would i be waiting for him to get me his bank details???

he explicitly asked me not to paypal and wait for bank details. he was kinda sane at that point in time and explained me why. i understood those reasons and therefore will not use paypal.

anyway, by now he will most likely already have collected the two shirtings from matuozzo. so no need to pay anything

his response to my email had nothing to do with the outstanding payment. read my post again. he did not leave this forum because of an outstanding payment. nor will he return if he receives the payment. his leaving and the payment are unrelated. just read the posts back. SLOWLY

he just went apeshit.

like he does with anyone after a certain period of time. that is part is his charme. he cannot help it

he was already considering leaving this place for a couple of weeks. at least that is what he mailed me in the weeks before he broken all contact when our relationship had not yet turned sour

just send him a pm on sf if you want to contact him. and while at it tell him it is never too late to apologise to me and that i am happy to forgive and forget

He is permanently banned from both Spanish unforums and there is no way he will be back to any of them.

But I am 100% sure he will try to come back here once he is back on his medication.

i only heard back from anna matuozzo what she thought of his early work when he showed her. iirc thomas4phage told sarto what she said and sarto then branded him as a troll. apparently sarto now thinks thomas4phage is no longer a mental troll and pms him to complain about me. go figure

oh and i heard back from a dutch forum member who got an early pocket square from him. but he was not a pro according to sarto. so his opinion was worthless. i never saw the ps

No. He was never allowed to return. If one of them he lasted 24hours and on the other one just less than a month. I don't think he tried to return with a different nick. However his writing style is unique, even in Spanish. So it would have been very easy to spot.

he apparently makes his biggest profit on selling fabrics? i really don't know how he determined it. maybe biggest customer in turnover terms. maybe biggest customer in profit margin terms. maybe both. really don't know. i've never seen his finances. and actually never discussed with him whether i was a good customer for him or not. i did recommend him as a cloth jobber to some friends and also some members here. especially his price for riva and romentino shirting was very good compared to others

why not use a good old one w/o internet connection instead of a rooky bigmouth internet hero? the former are generally quite affordable. does take a bit of travel though

how hard is it to find a shirt maker? they even got them in the USA or use asscot chang or some mtm shirts. why would anyone even consider buying shirts from such an unstable character. cheap cloth i can understand, most cloth middle men are scum anyway.

Realistically, once you start to factor in paying for shipping charges both ways, times how many? One for the initial test shirt (X1) the refinements of the test shirt (x2) then the final shirt (X1). That makes it, at least 5 times you pay for shipping. Maybe you will be happy with how the test shirt fits so knock that down to 3 shipping charges. So what does shipping cost from Naples to the UK? €25 not with the post office? So add €75 to €125 to the price. Plus if you upgrade to higher end fabric. Not saying it is a bad thing but you have to be willing to take a bit of a chance. Might turn out great.

But what does that make the end cost of the shirt and how does it compare to other non-Spanish shirtmakers?

better meet up with that unshirtmaker luca whatever former satriano 5 employee who comes to london every month or so together with that dickhead solito son. the unshirtmaker does cut a decent shirt. handwork not most refined but very decent. i seem to recall €150 per shirt? or maybe £ 150. rolf shoe god walker archnemisis bengalstripe uses him and posted few times about his visits on sf

Never understood the hype with Italian shirtmakers, especially the Neapolitan ones. Must be an internet thing.
But then, I don't care that much about those superfine cloths, I'd prefer heavier ones, which are almost impossible to find these days. I also don't care for hand stitches just because they indicate hand work. Unless the hand stitches are absolutely immaculate, I'd always go for a neat machine stitch (which is also way stronger).
Actually the making of the shirt is not the crucial point, it's how it fits. It's the same assessment of the figure as with a coat, so if the suits of a tailor are crap, the shirts won't be much better.
