Does he stitch button holes with one hand while he scratch his balls with the other? Can you imagine you are trying on a shirt and you find a hair there?
 
UPS and similars quotted me 70 euros to ship from Naples to Australia while USA is 35.

Italian postal cost like 10 but doesn't allows insurance.

Any hint?
 
There should be an insurable option from the Italian post office. More expensive than 10e, but WAY cheaper than 70e. That's nuts.

Anyway, in my experience, shipping from Italy is a huge headache. A friend of mine who runs a small business involving Italian clothing says that shipping costs are the bane of his existence, particularly now that the Australian dollar has dropped in value.

The problem is that the Italian postal service is awfully unreliable - packages disappear or they take an awfully, awfully long time to get anywhere. I once bought some ties from an eBay seller from Italy and they took four weeks to reach me via the Italian postal service. Four weeks for a few ties! Of course, there was no shipping so I had no idea where the ties were en route or whether they'd disappeared without a trace.

Therefore, most people prefer to use couriers but unless you have an account *and* you use the courier service quite a lot, you get charged a very large amount for small packages.

Im not really much help to be honest as we use TNT from Naples to here but we ship 100-200 ties at a time normally not one.

Everything I've heard about the Italian postal system taking ages (could that be anymore stereotypically Italian) and generally being crap seems to be everyones experience also.
 
Quite common for eBay record sellers to not allow any Italian and French bidders. Both countries have higher buyer fraud rates and the former with poor postal reliability. I ordered a jacket once express mail from an Italian boutique, shipped within a day, and it took three weeks before it left Italy. I was surprised it wasn't stolen.

I bought a suit from Italy twice, and it took 4 weeks for the first suit and 6 weeks for the second. From India to the UK is 3 days with Luxire. Italian post is awful.

The main post building in Naples has not air conditioned and every time i have to ship a single tie, the cue is over 2 hours.

This is worse than Greek Barufakis speech.

what's wrong with a bit of fun? what post is out of line according to Sartodi Napoli Sartodi Napoli ? he should be happy we are bringing traffic to this thread. anyone really interested in his wares is not going to stop buying from him just because of a few off topic and or fun posts. if anything they will reconsider buying because of his own uncalled for replies in this thread.

why is it he can't handle to be censored or moderated himself but expects all others to only post what he likes to hear? and starts whyning like a little kid? why not tell him to man up?

You could forget mail order altogether and sell only to shops like Lino's where you can deliver in person.

That's what gets me - he literally gets praise on a weekly basis from us on his products, from some of the pickiest fucks on the fashion interwebz, yet he seemingly refuses to sell someone something, hell anything, so that they can review it.

funny story about big timers. guy on sf with same initials as LKP LKP (who is unrelated to LKP LKP i haste to add) received a pm from a personal assistant to what i assume must be a total bigshot multimillionaire asking questions on behalf of her big timer boss about his relatively unknow reasonably priced honest neapolitan sarto. the lolz

my tourist ripoff old man taylorze also ships in a very reliable manner. for more esspensivv though

This is Sarto's biggest market, he goes by the name MOP over there. Like Passiggio Cravatte and Mararo, Sarto has found an adoring clientel outside of western society. He sells everything over there, ink jet ties, barbera seconds and rejects and maybe even bespoke shirts cut and made to rtw standards. I hear there are alot of non igent clients over at Kerbau . Many ceo's, prime ministers and diplomats. and lots of corruption rich kids like hermes man.

Those Barbera are not seconds or rejects but first line. Some of even were selected personally by me on the factory or fakers as Conchito bought from me months ago.

This is how this shills are. Never spent full retail even on their hemorroid treatment or psychiatricians.

Other paid the rest. That is how this social parasites work.
