It's too bad the royal baby was born on such relatively short notice, while the main candidates were campaigning outside of London.
I'm sure that the one who manages to get a picture of him holding the baby into the (social) media could easily win this election.

What I have seen so far, in the US the voters have a choice between candidates who sell out to different corporations, but sell out nonetheless.
Heck, they might be funded by the same corporations, because those want to have a foot in the door no matter what.
Other than getting their names into history books, I can spot no good reason to become a political leader. There are better options to make money.

If I could have predicted the direction America was headed 12 years ago, would have never applied for citizenship. Might have moved to Canada instead.

Why do most female politicians have to look like beef jerky?
What the US need is a young, hot woman that other women want to copy and that men would love to give a HBI! Either as a president or the presidents wife. Take Italy for example (lucky bastards):

Luckily, here in the UK the election campaigns have stopped today and there will be a new government soon. I hope they vote that Cameron fool out of office.
 
It's not exactly like the male contestants are that young or pretty either. They did try that MILF Sarah Palin, but that did nothing to break the stereotype of attractive women being unintelligent.
 
In all probability, I shall vote for a third-party candidate in the presidential election next year--Libertarian, Green, American Independent--doesn't matter. I never could abide that witch Hillary (nor her husband, for that matter), and so far I am very underwhelmed by the GOP field. Of course, my vote is immaterial. Here in California these days whoever gets the Democratic nod (the witch-bitch in all probability) will carry the state. As far as the Republican primary goes (and I am a registered Republican), California's primary election is in June, when it will almost certainly be too late matter.

Although I was never too discriminating about the women I would "do," I just never found Sara Palin particularly attractive. I suppose, looking at her objectively, she is pretty good in a middle-aged, MILF-ish way, but I always found her so thoroughly annoying that she was just one big turn-off!

You should be underwhelmed by the whole routine. It's theater.

And yeah, a 3rd party vote is immaterial. It's unfortunate but it's true.
 
I've actually found attractive women to be, on average, smarter than ugly/plain ones. And given the inheritability of IQ, the correlation between income and IQ, this would make sense.

A girl isn't dumb just because she shoots you down.

Strongly disagree. Both attractive women and men tend to be less intelligent on a number of levels because their looks don't force them to develop. I have encountered may attractive people where I was astonished by their lack of acumen vs social status/career/you name it. Most people treat very attractive people with a hope that they can get them into bed and allow them more latitude than other people. Happens constantly, and the person learns quickly that they can get away with murder.

The same can be said for 2nd/3rd/etc generation wealthy people, too. George Bush being the poster child.

Sure, genetics makes a difference, but it gets moderated by lack of effort. I don't often seen very attractive people working hard. You can be genetically disposed to be IQ smart, but it requires application.

Case in point, I watched this semi-attractive chick get hired for a job. I interviewed her, saw all the resumes, and didn't think she was the best candidate, maybe the 5th best. Above her were all dudes, a couple of pudgey Asians and 2 white dudes, none of which any woman would give a glance to much less a 1st date. Point being, the chick was functional in the job, but it's like that saying a girl that's a 7 is a 9 in a sports car.

Exactly. There are very few swing states. For everyone else, your vote is already wasted, so at least send a no-confidence statement with it by not picking the two approved choices.

"Mutti" Angela Merkel is one of the least attractive women in politics, yet she managed to stay in power, simply by not having a clear, public opinion. Decisions that are unpopular are not made by her.
Anyway, given that each head of state in the Western world is merely a puppet on a string for larger corporations and banks, we might just as well have a pretty puppet to look at.
