In a post on Rinaldi’s (Republican) official Facebook page, the representative stated Representative Poncho Nevarez (D-Eagle Pass) threatened his life.

That's the problem with democracy: You can only vote for the candidates the parties deem "worthy"!

As it stands now (according to a German website and the BBC) the Tories remain strongest party, mostly thanks to the election system.

Well if they did, she was foolish to call a snap election before the term was up. Opportunism in its most naked form. She didn't need a vote of confidence in her Brexit plans.

Just think you're one of the Tory MPs who lost your seat at the margins just because the party leader wanted to show what (little) balls the party had with the public.
 
The only possible coalition will be the LibDems who just love migration and want to reverse the Brexit vote.
May has definitely weakened her position and the events and news in the past 2 weeks alone haven't helped either.
Which makes you wonder whether the attacks were coordinated to achieve just that.
 
SNP vote collapses. At least there won't be any more referendums on Scottish separatism from Great Britain.

If Theresa May has to resign (and I'm sure there will be calls for that within her own party) we might see Boris Johnson
become PM.

Given her history May was wide open for attacks regarding her short comings on security (police and border control) as home secretary, so the latest terror attacks played right into the hands of Labour, calling for more police.

Definitely no coalition, say the Liberal Democrats.

The party's press office has tweeted: "We are getting a lot of calls so just to be clear: No Coalition. No deals."
 
Absolutely shocked and disMAYed at the result. Hopefully she can form a government with the backing the Ulster Democrats. What now for Brexit?

What is scary, if you look at the total vote share by %, Labour got 40% of the vote only 2% less than the Conservaties. When you consider the calibre of the Labour front bench and their explicit Venezuelan-Marxist solutions, it is truly stagering and fightening. If that's the best the Conservatives can do against such blatant slime, May must go and be replaced by a true Brexiteer.

Also worthy of factoring in, is that 75% of Labour MP's want Corbyn gone. So an argument could be presented that the Labour voters were in as many as 75% of Labour seats, not necessarily voting for Corbyn. Unlikely.

the rumor is that boris is going to be put forth. that seems like a disaster in the making.
 
Boris is the class buffoon, always muccing around, a good brain, but ultimately too much of a loose cannon to be leader. His albino style hair doesn't help either.

As bad as it is, the Conservatives have currently 316 seats, they only need 320 MP's for a working majority. That's unless Sinn Fein decide to take their seats in government. With the support of the Democratic Ulster Party, they should be able to form a viable government and manage Brexit.

In this case, it would not be wise for May to resign immediately.

There will be a lot of angry conservatives, though. And a lot of them won't tire to point out that it was May (or whoever she really works for) that called for snap elections.
Sadly there is too much "divide and conquer" (teile und herrsche = divide and rule) going on.

Has Corbyn never been in a minority parliament situation? He'd have to cobble together nearly all the other opposition parties less the independents together to even get close to the Tory seat count. A Labour coalition would result in the most unstable government torn every which way.

Well, you'd want a bit of buffer. Party whips seem to be less effective across the pond. The last thing you want is some backbench MP who suddenly believes they need to vote their conscience in a confidence vote and you don't have the numbers to avoid another election.

May already had to rely on DUP when she had a majority. Prepare for a strong, but not very stable, government.
 
It shocked me last night when I got in, the horror, the horror....

It feels like some Kafkaesque nightmare now, and I'm not even living there!

The youth and students were bought with trinkets and coloured glass beads. Also a lot have already been indoctrinated by two and more generations of the toxic extreme left education system. May alienated the home owning baby boomers with the dementia tax and not sticking to the triple lock pension. They may have said they were voting for Conservatives, but when they got into the voting booth....

It's all going to go horribly wrong very soon, I can see a hard left Marxist-Venezuelan style government come in and destroy the UK. The EU is willing this and they can say to all dissenting voices on the continent: look what happens when you dare to defy us!

The future is bleak, dark authoritarian forces are at work.

The 'dementia tax' as its so-called is potentially a good idea, why should working people pay so that some can pass their wealth on, much of it derived from unearned income due house price rises to their children? The policy needed work, means testing the benefit for example. Labour could, and should have supported it.

Also Labour's support for free university tution is equally half-baked. If one looks at the demographics this will clearly benefit well-off middle classs families more than poor ones. This should be means tested as well. As should a whole host of other benefits.

You forget, that for the baby boomer generation in the UK, their wealth is solely generated from extreme house price rises. They've saved fuck all, they've invested fuck all, all their wealth derives from house price increases. And it shows in their attitudes that if the poor folk get it, then I want it too! Corbyn's mob have mined this for ultimate effect.
