At the risk of de-railing a footwear thread, I thought that I'd stick in my two cents worth.

A self-fabric belt is certainly uncommon nowadays, but I understand that it wasn't uncommon back in the 1940s and 1950s.

My dad didn't have any suits with self-belts but he had a few suits made by "off the Row" tailors before he came out to Australia in the 1950s (which he was still able to wear 40 years later, impressively) and he and I used to talk about clothing.

As a high school student in the 1990s with quite a rigid idea of "business dress", I was quite horrified by my dad's talk of suits with fabric belts, made from the same fabric as the suits, and also of wearing dark navy blue oxford-style shoes with a navy blue suit!
 
10-15 min to wash, 5 min to condition, 5 min to cream polish, 5 min was polish. Or you could add the waiting time to make it 2 days.

I wear my shoes. Not everyone is familiar with the concept of wearing their own shoes.

Life lasting grease stains from the shed, water stains, and mud from farms and too much garden work. To be honest with you all...l don't give a stuff. l still wear them for dicking around and doing dirty jobs. Got `em on today.
 
I wear my shoes hard, but i would never wear them that hard specially with that price tag.
 
It's garden soil only. Supposedly slightly acidic with all the peat moss I've added to improve my soil nutrition. Or as PBooth would say, awesome for the leather.

They certainly cleaned up well after being covered in mud and dirt.

It's good to see "outdoor" boots actually being worn as intended, instead of being babied and having people fret over every crease.

Having said that, though, I know that I'd most likely be hesitant to wear a $1600 pair of boots in mud and slush.
