ive got a few pairs of AE's and they're quite comfortable and durable enough...and it's not that they necessarily look bad...just aggressively plain. boring. i dont hate them, but dont love them either. they merely exist. theyre like a generic video game character named SHOES that you first get when you start getting good, but will quickly discard for something cooler.

id like to upgrade, but have more pressing needs.

edit...my point was i probably wouldnt waste my time on either meermin or AE at this point.
 
Well one pair had slight discoloration by the welt. The other two are new. For less than 100 bucks, they aren't bad.

Aaahhhh. Thank you. I still think S&M Shirts is funnier though.

Grand Potentate Grand Potentate thet are good for the price. I like the fit a lot and they have a good collar roll. The tissue, while brushed, could be softer but is still ok. I’ll hold off on too much praise until they’ve had a few washes., but for under $25 shipped you can’t go wrong.

They are clearing these out before moving to sizing with slim-contemp, neck size, sleeve size.

No worries. I’m holding off on the review for a few washes. This fabric may soften up and be perfect or it could shrink and bleed or pop buttons.
 
Just ordered a second lavender OCBD from Mercer. My clothes buying has been very constrained for much of this year because of family matters.
 
I'm going hiking in the snow in Japan this northern winter and just discovered that the soles have separated from the uppers on my old Scarpa hiking boots. Apparently, it is possible to get the vulcanising redone but it's pretty expensive and doesn't always hold well or for a long time, so I decided to get a new pair.

Finding a "traditional" pair of hiking boots proved surprisingly difficult - most of them nowadays seem to incorporate all sort of different materials, including four different colours of rubber on the soles. All I wanted was a one-piece upper with bellows tongue and a Vibram sole with good grip. I ended up ordering these from END:

When they arrive, I'll pop them in a lightly-warmed oven and then give them a few coats of Snoseal.

Thanks! And I agree. . . but buckles can always be changed! You can hardly say the same about the rest of the belt! I just love the color!
