There is a Reddit piece about Rock's pieces that I have to dig up, but it sums up the answer you are looking. I won't buy that at that price, but on sale it will be a definitely yes.

To me, button down collars = prep/BB/RL. That pattern is expression of luxury/finesse/intricacy, and the use of button down collars is just conflicting. My 2 cents.

It looks like a Yoox garment. We all know that the stylists at Yoox preparing the garments for the pictures are not the brightest pencils. if you the jacket on a mannekin (sarto tm), unbutton the top buttom, put a shirt on the mannekin I am sure it would like a totally different garment.

With lightweight black linen pants and button down white linen shirt with brown horn buttons. Now I wish I had an unlined charcoal or black linen waistcoat for a fake three piece. I've come full circle from fake suits to real suits back to fake suits, just to add a little variety.

I'm not against using all three buttons, it wasn't unusual in pre-modern times to do so and it really helps in heat regulation in windy areas.

It is a small concern of mine but won't know till I try it.

leland - would look good with a grey linen shirt. and a general monochrome look but all worn a bit looser than is the current fashion.

I have a mid grey linen shirt but a little too shapeless, rumpled for my taste. I just realized I need a light grey linen shirt! I have three white linen shirts and an Eidos cotton that feels like linen but no light grey.

I'm a 41 so I only buy 52 euro which end up a little loose anyways.
