Just ordered a pair of these cords on sale from Gieves & Hawkes. 5% cashmere which craptom seems to imply will cause bagging but we shall see.

Also grabbed a grey flannel havana from SuSu. There are elements I would change but can't argue with the price. One day I will retain an olde mysterie tailore but that day is not today.

In order to take the best possible pic for the Internet, one should put on a freshly pressed outfit, then strategically create a wrinkle here and there, perhaps undo a button and move one's tie askew as well. Seek out the perfect lighting, setup your DSLR and tripod that you bought especially for this purpose, snap 20 different pics, meticulously edit the best two, preferably upping the saturation to 100%, upload them to your favourite forum, and then change into your regular jeans and shirt to start your day. Be careful to hang your iGent outfit in the back of the closet, to ensure it won't come up in the rotation for the next few weeks. Bonus points (or should I say thumbs?) if you keep a spreadsheet.

I understand your point, but usually when i get a shirt i try it out and them send it to the alterations lady. No point on ironing it. Sorry to disappoint.

You get an extra play for free, if you can set-up your DSLR and tripod in the local fast food eatery and take a photo as reflected in the mirror and cleverly through layers of filtering and photo editing software make it look like it was taken by a mobile telephone emulating a Polaroid SX-70 whilst taking afternoon tea with Noonoo, Nellie and Nadar at The Ritz.

Repeat evey week or daily as preferred, you get a mention in despatches if you can continuously use the same pose and expression in the photos. Be subtle too, buy outfits and accessories that are very similar, so people assume you must be suffering from some form of obsessive compulsive sartorial purchasing disorder. Watches too, take a photo of the same Omega watch day-in-day-out ad infinitum. Always goes down well, always a winner.

Picked up some cut-price thirsts at the Drakes factory sale this morning.

Custom old school down vest arrived to wear with my hideous non-igent boots while wearing a trucker hat and listening to Foghat

Had them revive an old pattern with a contrasting western yoke in 60/40 cloth with a wool knit collar & 800+ fill power down
