WDYBT: What Did You Buy Today

New coat by Orazio Luciano in a Loro Piana cloth from the proposte giacche book (cards) 98% wool, 2% silk. Ordered another one today in a grey with black check, can't remember who that cloths by (only ordered it two hours ago as well) at their trunk show in town, Mr. Ambrosi was there as well so ordered matching pants and a pair of black flannels. Good times!

Is this glued as he scammed me ?

Any closeup pictures of m brosi abd his turkush toupee? What is the going rate for his pents atm?
Around 6000 Norwegian. Not cheap but they are very nice. He's making them wider for me than the standard pleated model they do, really happy with all the pants I've had off him. Never had an issue over the last five years or so he's been making for me. Spot on.

Nope, great coat. Lovely craftsmanship.

Then he does 2 different qualities, 1 to scam, 2 for trunkshows in shops maybe, but I have seen pictures of trunkshows with glued cutted to sizes and then recutted on the fly.

Stocked up on a bit of knitwear: William Lockie lambswool in dark green and light grey; and a dark red shetland jumper from Skippers Mill.

I've only ever seen stuff in shops by them and the coats I've had made to measure. None of which is fused, all look really nice in great cloths and top finishing. Having met Pino Liciano a couple of times I wouldn't have thought he was the type to do anyone a bad turn to be honest. Seems like a decent guy to me.

The father is an integrated psychopath, as politicians those who look as great persons but then rape kids butts hidden in lodges or worse ever things.

I have seen today the latest Batman film and the supervillain was not a classic one with superpowers but the major, the prosecutors and the police boss.

One shop in Miami owned by a good jw returned a full season order due to crap quality.

I don't know what you're waffling on about. I can only tell you about what I've seen and have had made by them and how I've found the owner as a person.

Whats the name of the shop in Miami?

It´s a famous USA outlet that mainly carries Neapolitan brands.

You was lucky as it was a trunk show backed by some shop he doesn´t dare to scam or maybe he has realiced that scamming made him lost clients in the mid therm. I remember the day I made the mistake to go to his factory, some dumb bloggers were there as well and he hid the fuser machine to say "all was made by hand". I entered by surprise another random day and voile, the machine was there, they kicked me fast from there.

By the way a few workers were Italian, most were from ex soviet countries to pay them 2 coins.

I also can say at this time that psychopath was kicked off from Kiton decades ago by stealing fabrics. Go Kiton and ask for him or ask in whatever place or shop related to fabrics, tailoring etc, you will know funny stories since that psychopath is well know, he made a limited society with another well know psychopath and compulsive liar ( as well psychopath), the father of Gennaro Annunziata of Chiaia Napoli. two crooks, one destiny.

I can´t understand why he was not buried under some bridge by stealing to Paone as that was a very common camorristi thing in the early 80´s

By the way and integrated psychopath is never going to knife you, steal your pocket (directly) or act as a low class dumb, they are "white collar" delinquents with very good manners in face to face.

That's why I asked. How much do they charge fpr bespoke?
I have no idea. Salvo is happy to alter anything from the standard pant models he makes and they sit without a belt or side clinchers and don't drop so don't feel the need to bother with bespoke pants from him.

Clearly you have some sort of beef going on and I can't help you with that. I can only form my own opinion on clothing or people based on my own experiences. I think the coats he has made for me are super and Pino strikes me as a nice guy, that's all I can say on either matter. Napoli gossip I'm not so interested in.

As long as you're happy and balanced...well happy anyway.

Ok so answer is no. Thanks

Sure, the same way I never go eating to Mc Donalds to prevent a diarrea attack, I would never go to any of those well know Madrid untailors.

I was once in Burgos unshirt asking for Carlo Riva fabric, those ignorants got any idea about.

"the best shirtmaker in the world", oh wasn´t him the other, Tanga?

Sure - that’s your personal choice. It does not mean they scammed you. It’s good to be able to separate personal opinion from facts

Also the fact they don’t have a commercial agreement with your favorite cloth maker doesn’t make them less capable, just more in tune with what the local market will bear. I used to bring fox flannel, dugdale etc with me for them to make as they didn’t have those relationships. And particularly after brexit, buying British cloth became even more expensive for them.

less capable?

Capable word can´t come from them, whose heritor said "she got trained in a weekend", while a real shirtmaker need years.

I have handled one of those unshirts in Naples from a Madrid client, the collar was plenty of bubbles due to homemade quality press, the stitching looked as made by a maiden with Parkhinson, poor fit etc all plenty of extra cloth hanging

If you like that?, ok, personal taste, but technically is not a shirt but a rag.

But please do not try to convince a Naples trained shirtmaker that rag is a proper shirt, as well as when I used to show "Telepizza" brand pizzas to local pizza cookers, they laughed loud, the best, paying 12 euros for that toxic blend.

TELEPIZZA: 12 EUROS look like frozen Lidl ones, plenty of toxic adhitives as glutamates and so on

REAL NAPLES: 4 EUROS, with real proper Buffala toxines, nothing can beat that

I am sure in your mind pizza and tailoring are somehow related, but I couldn’t give a flying fuck what Telepizza looks like. My personal firsthand experience with both Mariano Langa and Joaquin Fernandez are terrific. First rate work, value, and customer service. That doesn’t mean my experience with Neapolitan tailors is not equally fulfilling - except for one single tailor from Napoli I wrote about elsewhere, everyone has been terrific, and customer service and quality is on par (although pricing and some other details remain somewhat “sketchy” towards foreigners).
This is to say that no one says Neapolitan is worse, but it would be decent for you to shut the fuck up if you don’t have first hand experience to accuse someone of scamming you.

You are a damn tacky with not only poor taste, but any skills to id a defective garment from a good one and in each of your disgusting histrionic posts are showing this over and over.

Now continue following fashion just because a bribed corrupted blogger says those are good, next time dress with shorts with bow tie and an urinal in your head. Fashion and catwalks can´t be wrong.

Also you can ask for discount to those fabric rippers (not tailors) showing any of this shill posts.

That is what would be decent for you at once.

Edit: Langa tangas me and the world when that scammer selfproclamates "author" of a kind of cuff that did exist decades ago per example on a James Bond film.

That is your hero a "cantamañas" as you are.

Farmer's Almanac says my winter will be much colder and snowier than normal. Just got a foot in the last 24 hours, which is a lot for us Flatlanders. Serendipitously, I found two Canada Goose vintage, limited release down jackets this week in great shape that I should have bought circa 2003 when I saw them in Yellowknife. A down bomber with shearling collar and a down anorak pullover that was only sold in the Arctic. About the only CG jackets that I've ever liked and would consider buying. Made before CG went luxury upscale and decreased the construction quality and amount of down.

wow that is amazing luck. where did you find them?

My order from the Canadian China-made fetishwear purveyors came in, so I tried it all on for fit. Green herringbone tweed high-rise trousers and red/brown gun check field coat shown. Trousers are thicker and softer than my last pair. The coat is nice, but should have been lined. Also has a dangly waist cinch inside that I’m going to have to remove or find some way to shorten.

I also got an extra-slim fit white OCBD - sized down to fit well rather than my usual size-up to fit my neck: really nice slim fit now.
