You give off rather strong cop vibes.
He says you’ve got a stick up your assWere you in the military or else? While I'm not particularly fond of law enforcement, I don't mean this as in insult. It's just that the way you carry yourself and your posture seem unrelaxed and strained. I often find this to hold true for types who have served in one way or another plus they usually have an aura of dutifulness that says "I like being an asshole" and unforunately this seems true for you.

What's happened to Rick?So hot lately, been slouching around in tank tops and nike shorts.
I guess I kinda used the wrong terms. I don't mean the retro look workwear stuff I was thinking more - as a starting point don't use tailored wear as a starting point and work down - use more casual wear and work up. and also work down from tailored wear and sort of meet each other in the middle.what do you mean by 'biz end' workwear? when i think of workwear, business is literally the last thing i associate with that aesthetic.

Did you even watch 21 Jump St. In the 80s?Undercover detectives don’t wear white trousers
Overall pretty good. I’d let it out a touch at the top button. Seems a bit snug when buttoned. Would need to see the back to get a better overall picture.View attachment 47140View attachment 47143View attachment 47142
Updating my Outlook profile pic in the new m2m suit. Overall pretty happy with this. I will need to get it tweaked by the tailor - a bit out in the waist, a bit in at the hips and hem up on the trousers. Anything else?
Overall pretty good. But as is the Internet, we can nitpick. Ankle opening needs to be wider or length of trousers needs be shorter. Probably a combination of both.View attachment 47140View attachment 47143View attachment 47142

I am probably in the minority on this here, but the suit will look better without hacking pockets but then again, that is my bias.
Looking good my man!View attachment 47140View attachment 47143View attachment 47142

You ended up with a nice result and you know what needs to be done next. No shoulder dimples. I too would like to see the back. I'm meh on hacking pockets.View attachment 47140View attachment 47143View attachment 47142

I’ve got that covered! I mentioned in the other thread that they let me keep the straight pocket jacket when they did the remake. They then remade the trousers as well (oversight or in compensation for the hassle, I can’t tell). So I ended-up with two suits identical except for pocket angles. You ended up with a nice result and you know what needs to be done next. No shoulder dimples. I too would like to see the back. Omg. Tell me you are joking. My grandson isn't 9 yet, and he's already sussed, without my input, that trainers are for exercise only or for divs.Yo Bro
The sneaks are genuine sk8brd ones - most comfortable shoes I have - spend 80% of my life in them these days (don't tell shoeey) - Highlight was one day I was walking along and a 12 years old kid with skateboard said:: "Great shoes - where you get them" I now have 4 pairs different colours etc includes one lot of Hi Tops.

The rest is ALL Uniqlo - including Reg Grundies, and socks. Almost all got on sale. The Uniqlo U Ts are great - loose oversize fit and half sleeves and a pocket - also got a 3/4 sleeve one.

And I thought it'd been too cold here lately. -50? Good LordThe last week or so has been brutal with temps of -35C+ with windchills in the -40s and we even cracked the -50s. Today was -20C with a windchill in the -30s. An improvement! I've been playing with layers and trying combinations I have not combined before.
I figured I could go parka-less today, be warm, and be well turned out. No jacket with a fur hood ruff. And I go business casual in brutal weather. Even my heaviest odd jacket and camel hair polo coat doesn't cut it for very long. Plus I've got sport coats in the closet at work if required.
Pretty light rig considering the conditions.
Shell is tweed with a waterproof-breathable interior membrane so no rustling like a garbage bag like synthetic jackets. Not insulative but windproof. Has pit zips for ventilation but overheating was not on the program today. Custom non-Cowich-themed Cowichin wool sweater. Merino turtleneck. Not seen are my merino base layer top and drawers.
Dachstein wool watch cap. It is 4-ply single layer and warmer than my 4-ply cashmere beanies. Elk skin gloves with wool and Primaloft insulation. Pretty much at their max limits in this weather. Cotton chinos, wool dress sock, bison belt, and shearling-lined chukkas with Dainite soles.
Years ago, I was taught by the Inuit to dress for the weather such that you are on the cusp of being chilled when moving at the speed you are moving at. This kept the wind out, kept me warm and set me apart from the throngs in black The North Face or CG parkas.
Horses for courses and YMMV.
PS, I can't arrange clothes on the floor as well asDropbear does.

it's brutal. I went to the auto parts store on Saturday and there was a line up all the way out the door. that was the line for new batteries only. Haven't seen as many EVs on the road in this cold. And I thought it'd been too cold here lately. -50? Good Lord
