“a plant-powered couple [making] delicious vegan food with top adult stars,”

Vegan Porn?

My father's hair is growing back. Because one of the pills for his heart has a side effect.

Blood test. I don't even know if I need to fast before because no one bothered to show me the requisition form.

There is someone here staring at their laptop which is a world map with a black background. There are some circles with multiple colour borders (full/empty?) over certain geographical areas. Some radiate.

Video game? Remote drone operator?

I have to make a Sunday family lunch.

All seniors.

Working guidelines: no red meat (including pork), limited use of white flour/potatoes/rice due to diabetes, no fish or seafood with scales, no dairy, limited use of oil due to heart conditions, no cheese, foods must be soft for people who don't have teeth, limited use of sugar due to diabetes, personal preferences to avoid sour and bitter flavours, no alcohol due to allergic rashes.

It took an offshore Indian contact centre lady to tell me my free health card is expired. Funny the virtual doctors and pharmacists continue to interact with me as if I'm a valid citizen.

I swear I've been to the pharmacist(s) more times in the past 12 months than I have been since I was born.

I'm now part of the consumer crowd that keeps drug companies alive. That's not counting my "free" vaccines.

I went to a tour at the museum and this 23 or 24 year old was flirting with me. Probably because I was the only one within 20 years of her age since it's all retirees on a snowy weekday morning.

I normally take my clothing donations to a youth mission that has a store that resells the donated goods.

Today I decided to go to the market where someone rented out the space as a free market. I had no idea what that was but I brought books, new boxed grooming and other knick knacks that met their donation qualifications.

There wasn't anyone organising the place. I thought there would be an organised donation queue followed by a pick up queue. All I saw were rows of ethnic miniority poor going through piles of clothes and other donated goods. I barely emptied my bag of men's clothing before the vultures descended on everything around me.

She was the tour host. And no I get chastised enough for my choice of women on this forum.
no one is chastising you for your choice of women. its more that you're not actually doing anything with these women you seem to be choosing and all we ever hear about is you flirting or someone flirting with you. when was the last time you went on a date?

That would be when I was employed. Women love their financial security. It was hard enough to explain garden leave.

Doing anything? Like a long term relationship? Cranking out small kids?

I was at a lunch two weeks ago with a lady friend of mine and she insisted being seated in the section with her favourite waitress.

Yesterday she returned to the restaurant by herself and was asked by the waitress where I was, if I was single, where I live, etc.

NHL All Star circus comes to town. I wonder if it means I have to wade through throngs of people in my neighbourhood.

That much is true
But even then I knew
I'd find A much better place Either with or without you ...

Going uptown to a chain public house today for prix fixe 3 course lunch which is a program running at selected restaurants in the city to entice people to dine out in the dead of winter.

I have zero to no expectations.

As expected she was super disappointed. She even had a bit of upset (but I think that was the bottle of wine and gin & tonic she consumed all by herself) afterwards.

I made her a box of 4 croque monsieurs with madrange ham, homemade bechamel, French mustard, comte and parmigiano which was a lot easier to digest.

My neighbor appears to be going all-in on V Day this year. I wonder if he’s in the dog house?

I keep holding this (now reduced) dividend REIT hoping it goes back up so I can dump it but it keeps going down.

The woman drawing my blood said I'm a slow bleeder. I have no idea what that means.

It means a variety of things depending on what is behind it.

- Some people just have more syrupy blood than others.
- Low blood pressure
- Being under-hydrated means less fluid and more protein & RBCs = more viscous blood.
- It could mean the phlebotomist did not enter the vein fully/properly and the needle bevel can be clogged with tissue
- Or they blew the vein and some blood is leaking interstitially while they are drawing up.
- Or haemophilia, polycythemia and other more serious conditions.
- Ask your doc not a phlebotomist.

It was my first time listening to someone play the harp today. He said that often harp pieces were accompanied with pieces of spoken poetry or prose before, during or after the piece. I had no idea.

My 15 minute appointment with the doctor became 5 minutes and another round of blood tests.

I had the same doctor for the past 3 appointments so having to present the entire history going back to Boxing Day felt like I was an inconvenience to her.

I started donating blood a few years ago and initially found this really surprising. Even panic-hydrating just 1-2h before the appointment seems to have a huge impact (on my blood at least).

I had a woman walking behind me liberally broadcasting her telephone conversation:

I get home and no matter what I make Raffi yells at me. Like I am a working mom here running home every day to make dinner and he yells at me. Why do you think I take drugs now? I am getting sick and tired of Raffi. Is it worth it? The other day Romeo invited him to train with his team. And they are 3 years older. It's a big difference. And Raffi kicked Romeo so hard he almost tore his ACL. He can't walk right now. Who does that to his own brother?

... Proof that not everyone woman is suitable to open up her legs and pop one out.

That was fun being surrounded by small kids for this week's free opera concert. One was literally punching my ankle with every page turn of her book or change of her boots.

Trying to figure out sovereign bonds, discount prices and coupons since interest rates are about to drop.

I'm okay with it rising. But if we're cutting up to 100 basis points in the second half of this year then GICs will be pretty worthless to beat inflation so I was hoping to latch on to bonds to park some money at a 5% return whilst I rely on my US ETFs to do the bulk of the asset growth.

If things go poorly and the rates stay as is or rise then I'll just park it back in GICs.

First time I heard La Traviata's E strano sempre libera sung on top of a fire alarm and evacuation announcements.
