I finally got around to watching the Queen’s Gambit. ATJ really is a good actor, though the story seemed to meander without direction a lot of the time.
Without watch Star Wars Rebels you’re not going to have a connection to the story. As Rambo predicted I am totally lost on Ahsoka. It's a lot of Star Wars stuff happening. I don't understand what the point of repeating certain motifs and scenes means. There's one where a Jedi apprentice is wearing a helmet trying to practice a lightsaber. It reminds me of JJ Abrams' Star Wars movie.
Good show but Madden was already launched after Game Of Thrones. If anything, it put him up the rankings as a possible James Bond.Jed Mercurio's work when he took a break from Line of Duty.
I think it also played a big part in launching the career of Richard Madden.

It took a while for me to warm to it, but it was a fantastic last couple eps!Good show but Madden was already launched after Game Of Thrones. If anything, it put him up the rankings as a possible James Bond.
Season 2 really really takes it out to left field. Also finished The Foundation. A few good acts, but it still feels like they get a new group of writers in each week to take things somewhere different. It’s a mess, but at least the last ep tied a few threads together.
Have you read the book? I get the feeling they have taken a LOT of liberties with the story.Season 2 really really takes it out to left field.
No. Everyone online that has read the book basically hates the show because it’s so WILDLY different.Have you read the book? I get the feeling they have taken a LOT of liberties with the story.
Who is that?I finished the Beckham documentary. He comes off as someone pretty nice especially in the scenes around his kids. I didn't know his father had such an influence on his career. But more importantly I didn't know he cheated on Posh. He doesn't admit it in the video other than saying it was a time he was away from his family and alone and it was tough.
I didn't catch on to his career until his final Real Madrid season and I saw him in person with the Galaxy when he took a corner and had beer thrown at him during a champions league fixture against my hometown club. During the credits it's rather sad he is still better at age 47 at free kicks than his son.
Watched one episode of Ted Lasso season 3. Wanda Cunnigham and Juno Temple are definitely ageing compared to the first season.

You seem obsessed with ageing? Sorry to break it to you but we all age. Unless you have found the elixir to eternal youth? In that case, share!

Beckham thing was good, if a bit too obviously curated by them themselves. Overall a good watch.
9/10 this was really good Sci-fi!Just started Bodies from Netflix and it is very promising so far.
Anyone watching Lessons in Chemistry on Appletv?
Appreciate itMy wife. She seems to be enjoying it. I’ll ask
that's because the show is stupid and awful.I’m going to have to watch Loki S2 again when I’m sober! That made no sense.
The third season definitely was a decline and felt like a postscript to tie up the stories various threads.Almost finished the final season of Ted Lasso. It's a bit elegiac and with Nate's dismissal I already sort of know where it's going to go.
You finally meet satan in the last episode.Almost finished the final season of Ted Lasso. It's a bit elegiac and with Nate's dismissal I already sort of know where it's going to go.

I finished All the Light We Cannot See. Lots of period costume as it tells a story at the turning point for the Third Reich after the Allied invasion of continental Europe.
Mark Ruffalo is father to a blind Aria Loberti. Hugh Laurie plays a partisan who covertly makes resistance radio transmissions. There's the Hitler Youth who ends up being the 'good' Nazi. There's the SS officer who is after a stone that bestows immortality that Ruffalo had because he worked at the museum. Later he chases Loberti for it. It's based on a book so maybe it makes more sense to people who read the book.
It looks great visually but I wasn't sure whether it was supernatural creepy magic stone caper or partisan/occupied France vs. Nazi show.
