What's Making You Happy Today?

Booked a return trip to Thailand. Leaving Thursday morning at 1:50am! Will be at the bar by early afternoon Friday(Bangkok time.)

Some minor drawbacks:
-I am returning the following Sunday so I will miss the Kentucky Derby live.
-I will miss the Floyd Mayweather fight live. (Wish I was leaving on Monday so I could watch both of those in a bar.)
-It's hot as fuck in Bangkok right now. 100 degrees today!
-Flying out/in Newark vs JFK. Fucking cab ride is close to $70 each way(before tip) vs $35(JFK!)

Oh and I think I'm in the clear re: the review...and I received an email requesting an interview for a tax role. hellz yah

Nope, and that's part of the whole 'casting the net' business. I'm at my one-year anniversary and all the counterparties are dragging their feet or avoiding it. I figure the review will get wrapped up shortly and then that conversation begins. They either come to the table or I keep casting the net and making it explicit that I expect a license out of the deal.

At the end of the day, that's my retirement plan: being able to hang my own shingle, draw in my own business, work my own hours. I've been grinding at 50+ hours a week for pretty much the last year, excepting for the last few weeks at 55-60 hours.

You lost me here. You passed the tests. Doesn't that grant you the professional title? What does the job have to do with it?

It used to, years ago. Now there's a 1-year work history requirement. They require another CPA to supervise your work.

aaand I think I have the job. Pure tax / consulting work, lighter hours, same pay. Longer commute, but able to work remotely and set my own hours.

Congratulations! Q's: Is this at the same company? Did you get your 1yr work experience? Are there hot secretaries working there?

Nope, nope, and nope. but my scores don't expire so that's a big plus. it's a sole-prop LLC who wants to grow a partner and build a business. excited, I am

So as their newest 'growth partner' are you going to get the experience credit from them?

I love Thailand!
Arrived on Friday morning. Spent a good part of the afternoon at the weekend market on Sat having brews/meeting peeps and listening to some killer music at Viva 8 which is a bar @ the market.

Friends came in on Sunday. Drinking some Sang Som rum right now waiting for my homegirl to come by in a few(we split up earlier). Just popped a 5hr energy and asked for a 7am wakeup call(it's 1am here). That gives us 5 1/2 hrs(she should be here by 1:30).

Weather is great but hot as fuck! I could visit 2-3 times a year!

Buckled down today and completed my second exam outline in as many days. That puts me almost 2 full days ahead of schedule. :fyeah:

So, I think the review is nearly complete, three weeks to go at the old gig.

and at the old forvm, t4 asked my help in exposing a liar and thief, so we're having our way with him in his AV thread.

T4 is an AV, or the AV ripped off T4?

I guess one good thing is I get a last trip to Atlanta. My driver pulled up and it was like when I was last happy; at the height of my achievements. Now I just have to close a presentation tomorrow to prove my worth. Well, tomorrow and Tuesday.

This Le Meridien room is bigger than my flat. Can't for the life of me figure out how to open the minibar.

Good luck Fwiffers. Knock those fucking suits dead.

The AV ripped off another AV, and is passing his wares as vintage when they're simply not.
Oooh, that should be interesting. You should post a link in the SF/AAAC thread for other's enjoyment and avoidance.

I put forth two random ideas together and then strung them into a strategy. I have a good chance turning it around for tomorrow before purgatory now.
