I started Rogaine mid August and at the time had to use a concealer to hide parts of my front that were thinning. I started having to use the concealer even on weekends but after two plus months, and a little dip in hair density in September, I'm starting to get some density back where I was thinning. The hairs I have now are also less prone to falling out when I use my Kent brush. Hopefully this means I can maintain things for the next ten years.

Also taking biotin supplements, which means my previously brittle nails are quite the bit stronger now.

I might actually be able to go swimming one day without worrying about my hair! Not that I fancy swimming at all.

I'm single. I still need to look nice for the ladies and I'm disappointed there is no male pattern hair loss in my family but I have it. My father is finally losing hair at the crown and he's 65. My grandfather still needed to trim his hair at 94.

The hair doctor asked me to do Rogaine. I was going to go on finasteride but he said try minoxidil first before finasteride because of the class action lawsuit for sexual disorders with the drug. Before the lawsuit, he'd hand out prescriptions like vitamins.

He told me about the comb, but he even didn't seem to think it helped enough - if it helps you.

$4000 to start and depending how many extractions, follicular unit extraction to move hair from the back to the front. The problem with me is I still have a lot of hair so transplants will shock the existing hair to death. I also have to start combing forward and over the transplant and do a number one buzz like the 20 something year old men to maintain my hairstyle. Unless, of course, I am willing to shave down to nothing for the transplant.

Rogaine is $45-$60? And I even buy it on ebay and pay shipping from the States. That's a three month supply. I spend more on three month supplies every weekday during happy hour sans lunch and dinner.
 
Eeek. Never touched the stuff myself. My shitbag younger brother still has every strand of his awful hair, but still lives with his (our) parents so I'll take my side of things, thanks.

Oh yeah, I shot the old Remington model 700 and put four shots within two inches at 50 yards.
 
I have no idea how many rounds have been through it but the trigger is smooth. I'm told it was purchased around '68 or so - which might have something to do with that. However, the bolt action was a touch balky despite being recently cleaned and oiled.
 
Finally got to meet John Lee Pettimore after years of e-friendship. Turned out to be just as nice as I had expected him to be and I had a great time, with some great conversation, along with some absolutely fantastic food. Also, had my first drinks in over a year. Always nice to remember what socializing with other humans feels like.

That's good. I'm wondering which online mate I wouldn't need a few drinks before I meet them. I did meet some women who somehow ended up on my mobile but... yes, I needed a few drinks during the meeting too.

Yeah, that was a great time; wish I didn't have to work the next day. Rambo cheerfully endured my monologues on public assistance fraud, soccer, and Florida politics. And he and I probably consumed a total of 5,000 calories in four hours. Delicious, savory calories. Fried chicken, bone marrow, fancy bread, waffles, watermelon, beer, various bourbon cocktails. My stomach was wrecked, but it was all worth it. Can't wait to go down there again.

I'm starving myself to fit into my black tie trousers tomorrow night. I don't have suspenders so I rely on being prim and having the trousers tailored to hold.

I lost some weight. I was hoping to lose more but at least it's going the right way. I can feel it in the older jackets and trousers. They're becoming loose.
 
The biggest change is stopping the habit of going out, drinking during happy hour with a canape, dinner, drink more and getting Mexican, kebabs or even Subway before heading to my flat.

I adjusted my grocery shopping to exclude buying sausages and massive roasts.

I doubt the two workout sessions per week for 700 calories does much.

I've also been rather busy at work so I often skip breakfast and more than once a week lunch now.

I had a busy schedule with so many appointments in my diary but I managed to get through all of them. Last meetings today at lunch and I'm homefree - oh wait, I have to work late tonight and come in on Sunday.

At least the meetings will stop. My parents have returned from their holiday so I won't have to house sit anymore.

It took me one night and only one shot of rye but I am quite over the nasty and foul mood one of my female acquaintances displayed to me last night. The awkwardness, succeeded by anger and desire for punitive revenge has now given to some platonic understanding of her emotional state. Is this maturity or foolishness?

At any rate, I have a tasty treat for lunch. My favourite Neapolitan pizzeria opened up in the financial district yesterday and I'm going there to indulge in buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and the chance to eat pizza with utensils without being frowned upon.
 
I'm at the symphony tonight. I daresay it's the only time a plebian like me gets to see men wear white tie. Sadly, formality of both the symphony and opera attendees have been declining as years pass. The performers, however, are still up to the mark.
