Why Are You Pissed Off Today?

Put the ticket up for sale. Let's see. Why does ticketmaster charge me selling fees but if I buy a resale I also have to pay them fees? Isn't that double dipping?
 
I'm down to 62.7kg now. I can even button my 36S jackets. Fasting tonight after dinner for another blood test tomorrow.
 
Not only did I didn't get to test for all the stuff I needed to test for because the previous doctor didn't fill in the right form, my offending blood test numbers are back up again.

This is in spite of me living like a monk, getting over that vicious 2 1/2-3 week cold, fasting and not even working out on the day of the blood test.

Ferritin.

My iron stores, transferrin, white blood cells, liver enzymes (the 2 'free' ones from public health care) are all normal. STI? I guess I could have hepatitis but I should be dead by now no?
 
Apparently I don't have diabetes. Another blood test on Monday for the other stuff.
 
My car was in the driveway lastnight and broken into. He then used the opener in my car to access the garage and search my wife’s car. I woke up five minutes later and saw an alert on my phone that the garage door was up, but assumed we’d forgotten to close it. No damage to the cars and nothing taken (he passed over guitars and power tools while looking for small change). It was o my after. Neighbor said their car looked like it had been rummaged that I checked the security cameras and discovered ours had too.

Edit: he took my favourite pair of sunglasses 😡

That sucks. Our local municipal police handed out flyers to tell us to put car keys near the front door so perpetrators can easily take them and not inadvertently threaten the residences during their thefts.

Here in Melbourne theres a rash** of 15 year old kids on bail breaking into homes, stealing cars, driving crazy chased by cops and killing themselves and others in a crash. Its a thing.

**When I say a rash I mean it makes the headlines one every month or so -in a city of population 4m the actual chances of it happening to anyone are about the same as winning a lottery.

Car theft and home B&Es are very rare here (pop: 8 million). What is more common is crack heads breaking into parked cars looking for cash and valuables or steeling wheels.

We have a case already and leakage into dairy farms in the panhandle.

Plus a very active hurricane season predicted and this weekend the eclipse, for which the national guard is with us again.

It’s going to be a very busy summer, which is why I want to nail down our travel plans now, so I can get a few weeks of fun in there as well.

I think that's where it originated. What are we looking at with this thing? I read a few articles that basically said "we don't know all that much about bird flu..."

It’s nothing too serious when humans get it, but can play havoc of the farming and food prices. Remember when egg prices went through the roof two years ago? This year could be much worse.

Visiting family in Aus. Got the flu right before landing and I’ve been sick as a dog all week. I can only hope I’ll be feeling human for the last few days before we leave. It’s been rough - I really thought I was going to end-up in hospital earlier.

Day 11 of the flu: the fever is done but my immune system seems to have packed it in - I’m just not recovering. Maybe I have fwiff’s mystery sti? Traveling tomorrow night to Tokyo will be rough, but I’ll rest in the airport hotel while everyone else goes shopping. At some point, I will be home and well and sad about not getting to enjoy this time with my family here. My mum’s health is still ok though, so hopefully I’ll get to see her again in the future

I’m in Tokyo and pretty sure I have pneumonia. Trying to line-up some antibiotics or at least a Dr’s appointment for when I get home tomorrow, but it’s so fucking hard outside of the country and when your brain is boiling.

Edit: wife just mentioned she had some expired Cipro in her suitcase! I’m too happy to be mad.

I was sweating it out in a hotel room way too sick to navigate something like that.

Anyway, I’m home and have had a chest xray. Got good meds for pneumonia and hope to feel better soon.

17 days in and I’m only just starting to recover.

Yeh, 2/3 of the trip was fucked for me, but the rest of the fam seemed to have fun and I guess to checked the box of seeing my mum even if I was feverish and delirious.
 
I’m doing better each day, but the recovery from this is a birch!!

24 days in and the fever is gone, congestion nearly gone and the cough is much improved but still annoying af. The first think is I’m still weak as a fucking kitten. I spent the weekend laying on the sofa telling myself and everyone else that I was fine. But when I made a couple of trips outside to bring in some Amazon bones I was gasping for breath and nearly dying. I then had to rest for several hours before I could do anything.

A month ago my weight was somewhere between 177-182lbs. I just hit 160lbs and it’s still dropping.

I had a family member get pneumonia and it permanently fucked them up. Took over a month and they were never the same after. Mind you they were a decade or more older than you are now and in way worse physical condition, but still, its nothing to fuck with.

Have you re-tested yourself for covid at any point recently?

That’s what my doc is telling me: expect at least another week of recovery. And even after that, I may still get out of breath when doing serious exercise for months after.

Actually I have. There is so much going around and I’m still pretty vulnerable, so I’m taking extra precautions until I’m back on my feet.
