Car Talk

I missed that Tesla had published its performance on the Nordschleife: Almost a minute slower than the fastest street-legal mass-produced vehicle. A bit faster than the current record for compact cars and a bit slower than the current record for mid-size cars. Pretty embarrassing, no wonder they waited so long to publish something.

I don't what it is, but every time I walk past a park Tesla, the lights start flashing and then turn-off.

They're seem to be on the wane here, still plenty around mind you. Black and white.

Getting ready to turn this morning at a t-junction by our house and then this car decides they needed to turn right, but left it a bit late, swerved narrowing missing me, then over compensated the turn and went through a fence into the garden. They were lucky, and I was too, as they could have easily ploughed into me. The fence was getting repaired when I came home earlier.

The lesson is: (i) never get a house on a main road, or close to a junction and (ii) It's these other people who will get you killed or fucked up forever with a spinal injury.

That was pretty horrendous...I can do Brussels airport in 1.5hrs with flowing traffic. Today, it was near enough 3hrs and then getting a car park space another 20 minutes. But that was as I anticipated and factored in. Coming back was near enough 4hrs.

Check out these little beauties!

Just incredible, wish l owned it.

Check out the 50's cadillac, simply amazing. Wouldn't want to paint it...just drive it like that.

wow what a piece of junk. Looks like it was built during a school project

Whatever happened to old fashioned wrecking yards? I remember you’d show up with your own tool box and wander the yard looking for things you might want to strip from the hulks all over the place, often stacked on each other dangerously. Then you’d take whatever you found to the front office and haggle good naturedly over whatever you picked.

Now I’m trailing eBay for a damn side mirror.

Have always loved yank tanks the best of all the cars, especially the ones with the giant fins. Found out from the above video that the biggest tanks were made between 1958 and 1959. Here are some 1958 yank tanks that look fantastic.
