Thirteen people who travelled from South Africa to the Netherlands have tested positive for Omicron.

10% on those two last planes from South Africa tested positive for Covid and the latest is that 13 was for the new O variety. Up from 2 yesterday. Clearly, testing is not working the South African side.
According to the doctor who identified the new strain and he found it in 4 patients, all double jabbed, that it was no more than a runny nose and a mild cold. But there's some mutations on the virus itself that are unexpected. So we'll see in the next days and weeks.
Down at the mall of the Netherlands on Friday, you can see that restriction fatigue has set-in. The restaurants are not distancing 1.5m between tables, these are very small restaurants by the way. 15-20% of people are not wearing masks or wearing them covering the mouth only or hanging off their chin. I have my reservations that the normal populance can wear a mask correctly, especially when you're touching stuff, opening doors and then readjusting your mask every couple of minutes. Nevertheless, it's an easy quick fix to adhere too, so it shouldn't be an issue.
I'm that pilled-up with being double-jabbed, vitamin D, K2, Zinc and Magnesium and enough hot-toddy ingredients, I'm not sure any virus is going to cross my threshold with ease.
It's starting to get closer now, a number of the kids school chums have got it, and with the exception of my mum and a couple of my nephews and nieces all my family in the UK, double jabbed, have had it in the past couple of months, most in the last month and between a 3 day to 7-10 day bad flu.
