A bigger community leads to more diverse knowledge being shared and interesting discussions. You don't need to match SF's size and I honestly dont think you should try too, but less then 200 members and only half of that being active feels tiny.

it is tiny. so? as long as people enjoy coming here and posting then we have nothing to worry about. obviously more people would be better but its all about quality over quantity.

where did you get this idea? we have plenty of donations and more than enough to keep us going.

My government mandated contributions may be over soon. I stop going with a few ladies this week and we have four figures. What does it take to get members up?

Ah, we are a boutique forum. Small membership, value added discussions.

SF had more diverse knowledge and more interesting discussions years ago when it had fewer members and there was less of a sense of acquisition.

The reference information that I might find from SF is old and archived. Current discussion is derivative and skewed towards acquisition & display

Now more than ever it is about "xx appreciation thread" where appreciation is generally the only form of posting allowed.

Tell me again how increased numbers made SF better for anyone but the owners.

That said, an increase of knowledgable people is always welcomed.

Finally, increased numbers might bring in more people who favour low vamp Loafers.

We have enough of those already.
 
Ladies, I never said you need to try and be SF in terms of numbers. My point was simply that your current active membership is rather small and could benefit from some growth. A little more diversity would do you well. There is a huge range between the couple hundred accounts this forum has and SF.

I turned off the Betting Exchange since not a single person used it.

Added in an tweak to the alert system. Now, when you read a thread, it will automatically read your alerts for you instead of you having to click on the dropdown to clear them. Also, you can now mark an alert as unread, in case you missed it or want to come back to it.
 
I tend to think simple is good. These days its the most important how a site works on mobiles.
 
jeez - i dunno - it looks a bit too simple for a clothing forum - can you run a sandbox for week or so?

sadly, no, not unless we purchase it. i can link you to the demo but its not going to be setup the same way.
