I remember you were the one telling me that Westbrook was the true all star on the billboards here when Toronto hosted the all star way way back.

How long are they going to ride on LeBron James? It has to be a win now team...unless they're waiting for his son to suit up next to him.
 
Alright, with Poeltl the Raptors are slowly climbing back into the final playoff spot for the honours to get slaughtered by the Celtics in round 1.
 
West coast trip not working out well for Raptors. Fell to Nuggets, Clippers. Hopefully the Lakers give us a boost.

As expected. I actually watched the game in its entirety.

Raptors can only one type of offence: transition. And tbf, they are excellent at it but half-court offence is non existent. Set-plays. Zero etc

And whilst Nick Nurse is an excellent coach and his tried and tested way of ALWAYS doubling the superstar and letting others beat them didn't work. AD had 8 points whilst Lakers role players had multiple guys in double-digits.

Also, your bench is atrocious. Lakers bench had 61 points to Raptors 11?

And OG and Barnes were hot too. Though FVV looked gassed.

The bench played fantastic. It’s amazing we did as well as we did with AD only scoring 6 points.

Aren't you in Europe? I actually fell asleep by the time they tipped off. I guess Poeltl was not the magic answer to our earlier woes.

In general the Raptors keep thinking they can tweak a bit and recapture the 2019 magic but there are only a handful of players from that era now so a major rebuild is probably around the corner.

Rambo always said the bench or team (?) was full of nobodies who all equally contribute. No longer the case.

I am indeed mostly in Europe though I have been travelling a lot these days so body clock is all over the place and my sleep has been fucked.

Jakob Poetl was indeed a very costly trade. Hasn't moved the needle at all and for sure Spurs fleeced you guys on that one.

IME Raptors need to blow it all up.
 
Purposely tanking your own team for draft picks... is this a viable option? Is there even a guarantee the high draft picks will work out?

The Jurassic Park tickets are gone. One of my mates said I should sell $5 water bottles and more expensive ones filled with vodka or gin through the gates.

That's outside the arena. That's where the fans without tickets go. Back in the day it would stretch on for blocks but it was pretty tame last night.

I guess it won't be a quick turnaround for the next guy like Dwayne Casey > Nick Nurse.

I wonder if he keeps his acting gig on CBC's television shows.

I guess Raptors won't be picking up Ime Udoka since he signed with the Rockets. Women on staff there must be hotter.
 
Very surprised the Lakers have made it this far. A few months ago they needed a push just to get into the playoff picture.

Series tied 1-1. I'm on a Raptors group chat on my mobile where support is divided between Jamal Murray and the Nuggets and nostalgia for Lowry in the Heat.
