So it should be renamed to be more inclusive? A lot of people believe in Islam and don't live near the equator and Mecca [anymore] but I don't see them changing the fasting times from the 12 hours/day if you're in Mecca from up to 17 hours in Scandinavia to accommodate the minority.

On the same note I guess we need to rename Bollywood movies to Mumblywood movies even though Indian people continue calling it Bombay.

You would have thought all this cancel culture, woke, DEI, George Floyd stuff was finally over. But then the next lot get voted in and we have the Gulf of America.

I've been asked why we don't celebrate Thanksgiving on the same as USA!!

I don't think most Australians have any idea what Thanksgiving Day in the USA is about -let alone celebrate it.

Because Thanksgiving were the pilgrims going from places like Plymouth to British North America. They harvested as the growing season ended and they had to hunker down and survive on what food was remaining/preserved during the winter.

What this has to do with Thanksgiving/Black Friday sales in Germany (pretty sure you can grow stuff all year round in the German colonies in Africa), France (buy your stuff at le shopping mall), Ireland (a former colony itself...), Japan (more yankee influence like baseball?)

Besides, you're in the southern hemisphere - how would that be applicable?
