I've never actually understood why "Jerusalem" is so popular at these jingoistic events - it's actually a condemnation of England in the 19th century and of the Industrial Revolution.
Why is Land of Hope and Glory offensive? For that matter why is Rule, Britannia?
Do we need to alter the lyrics to God Save the Queen next? This is asinine.
