Looks lighthearted and fun, although there's definite good and bad in the trailer.

Complete fail, however, if they go the whole run w/o ever referring to Clark by name, or w/o a Cavill cameo.
 
Where does that fake Doctor Who come from? If there wasn't the black zombie werewolf vampire missing I'd say this is almost what I suggested:
Billionaire: Check!
Bisexual: Check!
Transformation: Check!
Mutation: Check!
Friends: Check!

They are clearly trying to milk the success of Arrow and Flash while it lasts. Might not survive the first season, though!
 
Rip hunter is sort of an obscure DC character.

It's a shame they're wasting Vandal Savage on this. He's prime Justice League material.
 
Watched the Supergirl pilot. Seems like they're trying to cross the superhero genre with a freak of the week type of show. Which is sort of campy and fun, but also dumb. Not that I expected much out of this. Definitely seems like a Flash clone, but more CBS'y.
 
Is it true that they totally screwed up the Jimmy Olsen character, and that he's no longer a cool freckly bow-tie wearer?
 
So, we have a Felicity (Supergirl), Diggles (Director Henshaw), a camp Cisco (the guy who made her outfit) and Ally McBeal!
I found the special effects a bit lame for such a big network production.

What, are there any gingers in the show? Why have a large muscular man playing a dweeby cub reporter? It's like they are setting him up as a romantic interest or something.

No ginger(s), which sounds like a proper discrimination to me, but then again, they have no soul!:truestory:
The black dude looks like a taller, younger and much more muscular version of Denzel Washington and Supergirl seemed to be rather amazed by him.
Her IT- colleague looks and sounds a lot like Cisco (Flash) and that director Henshaw looks and sounds a lot like Diggles. And maybe acts a bit like The Rock in the Fast and Furious films.

There are also a lot of alien Meta-Humans, and here's where it can get a bit silly, when it comes to physical strength.

Which brings me back to "The Flash"! Why can he lift and move things that would be way too heavy for him? Just because you try to do it much faster doesn't eliminate weight and mass.
 
Still, if he can't lift an object in the first place he won't be able to apply the acceleration needed?
Also, once he accelerates something that then has a higher mass than he has, doesn't that mean he won't be able to stop the acceleration?

There was also that scene when he ran through an otherwise solid object to get rid of a bomb strapped to his wrist. He got rid of that device only, but should he not also have stripped off his suit?

Hey, I'm assuming that he can deliver multiples of acceleration due to gravity, thus he's able to apply force (again, mass times acceleration) that equates to him lifting something with much less gravity acting on it (as if on the moon).
Now that I think of it, the strain of the cyclically reversing accelerations might well tear either man or object apart first.
Presumably he can meter it out in both directions to just exceed the whole opposite and equal reaction thing?
 
Well, my physics teacher really sucked and I lost interest after a (short) while and we actually never even discussed matters of higher levels.
Why is the Flash as fast as he is? All I know is that his metabolism is super fast as well, but that doesn't explain why he can so easily overcome the wind resistance.

I do remember though that there was a discussion about the acceleration (in particular the warp speed) of the Enterprise space ship, and that in order for the gravity dampers to work the acceleration has to happen first. And if that happens, even the smallest amount of lag would kill everyone inside.

Just watched the last episode of the Flash's season 1. Now with the ancestor of the Reverse Flash dead in the present, doesn't that mean that all the events that had happened in the future before this event will be altered in the sense of no Eddie Thawne, no Reverse Flash, no going back to kill the mother.
I'm not that familiar with the comics, but Barry becomes the Flash in that accident in his lab, so that would mean the explosion of the partical accelerator is bound to happen in either case and that it was built by the original Harrison Wells.
I guess we are back to different time lines then.

For messing with the space- time continuum? Should the super scientists not have been able to predict/ foresee this (either based on Barry's possible failure to return within the time limit or any other event)?

Either way, the scenes of the Flash running always remind me of the TBBT scene with Sheldon as the Flash:

I'd have to look it up, but it's something like force required to overcome wind drag is the square (or maybe ^4) of speed, so it builds up to an insurmountable terminal velocity fairly soon.
fun fact: my high school physics teacher was the son of the then-CEO of Merck.
 
The first episode of the new Justice League: Gods and Monsters is out. Looks deliciously dark.

 
Is Superman still the same Superman? I remember vaguely that he had a son, who had a son and so on.
The animated Batman has always been a bit darker, bit this seems to take it to a new level.

No. In this he's Zod's son. And slightly evil.
 
Anyone played the Wolf Among Us, or has read the Fables series? I'm about 60 issues now, I read one on the way to work every day, and it's an excellent comic book series. Wish they'd make a movie out of that, instead of the same old superhero movies.

I read, and LOVED, Fables. Its really fantastic. I kind of died out after issue 100 or so. That would make the best TV show ever.

Oh man, that makes me sad! I was looking forward 160 issues of goodness, plus the jack of fables stuff. I highly recommend you get your hands on the Wolf Among Us, it's about bigby, and very true to the series. Only retails for a tenner or so. Season two is supposed to be released next year, so plenty of time to enjoy it until then. Seriously, buy it.

It might still be good after I stopped reading. I just kind of lost interest after several years of keeping up with it.
