Me? Not so much. I brought an ex staff to the game. We had this circled for awhile. I could have sold my pair of tickets for at least 2/3 of the price I paid for the entire seasons. He was quite happy and took videos and photographs. He said we are now part of history.

We didn’t see him during warm ups. But he came on for 30 minutes with Busquets. Suarez came on a few minutes later. With less than 10 minutes left a kid ran on to the pitch to take a selfie with Messi. He obliged. Then one after another three adults came on. People cheered when Suarez set up Campana to score the lone goal. One moment of brilliance in an otherwise dreary match where no one seemed to be want to be there.

I didn’t see the three gents who are usually gnattering on behind me. Nor the one guy, his girl and his friend in front of me. Nor the bald old guy and his two kids in front of me whom I saw on Wednesday. Everyone in my two rows sold their tickets. The randoms hardly knew any chants or songs. Most had Messi kit on.

I’m not even sure why Tata Martino bothered to put the Barcelona retirees on. We had enough trouble trying to get the ball off their bench players with our B+ lineup. They were quite happy passing it back and wheeling it around. Zero press. No inclination to run. At half time I was convinced Miami wanted to go straight to the airport and go home. It was dreadful football. Mostly I was depressed at the state of the pitch. That lack of urgency for at least my side when we honestly needed 6 points and got none. And the fact we are still the second biggest spender in the league behind Miami and we are 9th whilst they were 1st in the table.

I am more of a Ronaldo fan because I like his work ethic and dedication to fitness and diet.
 
Klopp is head of Red Bull football........for all Red Bull clubs. What is that? A monthly chat between a club's manager and Klopp? I find it difficult he won't try to get into your face and impose standards/philosophy/approach.

My hometown club made the most unambitious signing for a new manager. The assistant coach of a past manager who had the most club success. Why this couldn't have been done 4 managers ago I have no idea.

hmm. a quick boo at the numbers shows Old Trafford is 100+ years old, has a seating capacity of 74,879 and the club averages 73,000 spectators per home match.
 
Their new ownership INEOS is cheaping out on everything. And with two domestic trophies in the past 5 years I doubt the United faithful will continue to lead home attendance.

In other news, Newcastle pipped Liverpool to win Leagues cup.
 
Is it possible for a football club to never ever win on penalties in the history of the club?
 
I went to 3 football games in the past 7 days. 2 league fixtures and a cup game. We lost all 3. I feel like I'm the biggest loser in all of this.
