THE Necktie Thread, Now With Handkerchiefs and Scarves

OK for all of you who are mates with Pat, I'm thinking of getting some new ties since I seem to be sending my ancient, illicit, vintage thirsts to Arnathor Arnathor

Show me your BestMatePat™ Fabrics.

Do you contact him directly with your requests for tissues other than the ones on his website?

Does he have much more printed twill, Challis & madder options?

He does not seem to have many prints with watermelons or mitochondria like members here like.

Nor does he seem to have a lot of burgundy, rust or burnt orange.

Suggestions welcomed and guidance on how best to become his mate. Please and thanks

Here are a few killer challis options that Patrizio sent to me this week. They include both a burnt orange and a burgundy option. I think that the indigo is sold out at this point, but you'd have to confirm that with Patrizio.

I'm not sure what is going on with the double images. I've tried editing it repeatedly, but it won't let me remove the duplicates for some reason.

Also, Thruth Thruth , I know that there is a slew of new options that will be hitting the site within a week. Some very nice madders and printed silk twills.

Any ties you suggest at this point? Most of the ties I like are small repeating patterns. Or any ties toy suggest I start scrapping?

i meant instead of discussing it over at the cappelli thread that is now full of clueless igents
Because I'm trying to improve the ratio of worthwhile content to clueless igent posts?

And, also, because that was where C CM78 posted his picture. If he posts it here, I will happily fawn over it on this forum as well.

its useless
Well, I guess I am a bit of a glutton for punishment. I appreciate what the place was when I first joined, and I feel a bit bad about the direction it has gone in since. It would be great if some of the informational threads could be preserved there, even if one has to wade through tons and tons of AV threads in order to find them.

What picture do you mean?
You have to wait until I fisnnish licking his ass though.

Anybody try Poszetka? They are priced very competitively. BL posted a review... not sure if I fully trust his opinion.

This makes me skeptical however:
"Viscose has been previously used for the lining but they changed the construction quite recently".

Poszetka - handcrafted men's accessories - bow ties - ties - pocket square - scarves - silk knot
All this belong in either the Fucking Boring/Disagreeable Threads, excellent research!

Work ties - Scrap 5 & 7 and possibly 6 depending on colour

Party ties - (wtf is a party tie??) scrap them all except the top one.

The Never wears - depending on the actual colour - if those knits are real red toss them. If a deep burgundy keep. The knit No 2 looks good - is it brown or black or?? Keep it - toss the rest.

You're welcome.

Tie is grey blue houndstooth. The party ties I wear for events I host. Normally a black suit. So more social then anything else. Knit two is a black. I wear it during the winter and fall with some of my texture casual jackets.

Work ties are OK for the time being. There are several I would pitch I think but I'm looking at an iPhone screen so it's a bit hard. Burn the rest except for the dark knit and keep the houndstooth party tie if you like it.

If you like small repeating patterns then follow the advice and get printed neats.
