But this will be a loss of generation of developed nations to coincide with their low natural birthrates. Sh@thole countries will continue cranking out kids. We're hardly talking about a Children of Men style global infertility.

I was asked to be a character reference for my US co-workers in Illinois during the Great Recession. And again if I could sponsor/endorse someone applying for refugee status from New Jersey if Donald Trump won. In the end, no one moved.

If recent history has taught me anything it is that the United States of America is a very resilient nation and when their fortunes are down and their backs are against the wall they seem to always find some way to bounce back. You can call it the American spirit or whatever it is.

So Trump canceled his planned speech on the anniversary of the coup attempt. I’m actually surprised that anyone in the party had enough sway to talk him out of it.

Not enough confirmed information coming out. If the beheading reports are correct, could well be an Islamic insurgency which will scare the shit out of Putin and lots of cities in western Europe. Then you have the color revolution theories.

Kazakhstan and elite Kazakstanis I do have experience with. All ex-commies who swapped their hats after the fall of USSR. I worked with lots of their offspring, cool as cucumbers safe in the knowledge they have positions through birth and political connections and didn't have to work, at least much. Usual CV: Masters ''equivalent'' from a Kazak institution then short summer school, or day courses at the elite universities in the USA and or UK.

The lot of the common Kazak, with no connections, or ex-commie party privilege one of grinding poverty and pretty desperate. There were riots between local Kazaks and Turkish workers it ended-up with arms getting chopped-up, people locked-in 20' containers and swung around and dropped from cranes. When westerners got mugged they would always get suitably beaten up to a pulp and/or thrown of a bridge into icy waters.

There was one lady who worked with us, naturally connected, who had a consultancy firm which was paid after she left, US$2 million to participate in no more than half-a-dozen forums in Kazakhstan to promote local content in the oil & gas project. She even had the audacity to advise the Kazak companies that her consultancy would help them pre-qualify and get contracts on the project for a fee.

Whole country rotten to the core and it hasn't changed.

Are they Kazakh or are they Russian? The tables turned after the fall of the Soviet Union and a lot of the Russians were shunted aside to make way for the natives. Bit like the white Afrikaner.

The US equivalent of the house of parliament was literally invaded by a rampaging mob that wanted to overturn the election outcome. Some of the participants were intent on doing harm to certain elected representatives.

Thankfully, not many lives were lost, but it nonetheless seems to me that the attack struck at the heart of the US system of government.

I realise that this is not quite equivalent but imagine if, following the last UK election, a crowd of furious BLM and Antifa protestors had stormed Westminster Palace in an attempt to have Corbyn made PM.

If such a thing had happened, I strongly suspect you would have been utterly incandescent with outrage, and you probably would have referred to the participants as terrorists and demanded they be severely punished.
 
Pearl Harbor and Sept 11th were attacks on US home soil by foreign powers and entities.

Whatever happened last year was by fellow citizens. At least I don't remember seeing illegal aliens or migrants there.

that’s an interesting take on things. I guess you draw a big distinction between the Boston Marathon Bombing and ‘93 WTC bombing as well, since the former was conducted by terrorists holding US citizenship.

Pearl Harbour, 9/11 and Jan 6 were three significant historical events during which the US government was under serious attack. It’s sad to see the apologists for the insurrection canceling anyone who speaks the truth.

What I was trying to say is - it's a domestic issue. Yes it sucks it's getting to the level of the French Revolution and people are dragged out to the guillotine. But it all comes from within. You can't drop a nuclear bomb or daisy cutter on some heathens somewhere to solve the issue.
 
It is contorted, twisted and a blatant untruth that the riot on 06-Jan is equivalent to Pearl Harbor and 9/11. But it does tell you how narcissistic and decadent the Democrats are and what their modus operandi will be going forward. It's scary and pathetic in equal measure. Shame on them.

December 7, 9/11 and Jan 6 are three dates all Americans are familiar with and will live on in history in infamy. I’m not sure the aftermath or response to these three attacks really matters.

My dad’s generation always talked about remembering where they were when President Kennedy was assassinated. Now I hear people saying they will never forget where they were during the 9/11 and Jan 6 attacks.
